Board index Vancouver Forum

Vancouver forum is an open forum which daily sketches the diversity and the commonality of Vancouverites. It is also an online community where you can discover and discuss various aspects of life in Vancouver and the world at large. If you are a visitor or a soon-to-be resident of Vancouver, or simply have an interest in it, you are more than welcome to join the group of Vancouver Forum posters, but know that any questions you may have about the city and its neighborhoods, the quality of life and lifestyle, are likely going to be met with a barrage of insults by some our resident comedians.

If you are a Vancouverite who just stumbled upon these pages, you'd best get the hell out of here before anyone sees you, but if you do decide to join in, for God's sake don't tell them your ethnicity or you may never hear the end of it! Do not be surprised by uncensored and sometimes blatantly stupid, crazy, remarks that shouldn't ever be spoken in private, let alone on a public forum. If that still hasn't deterred you, then you probably have a thick enough skin and a good enough sense of humour to handle this place. Good luck. You're going to need it!

How 'bout a recipe sub-forum?

Unread postby J0E » 31 Jul 2012, 18:51

I realize these forum requests may be getting out of hand, perhaps there's too many now, but all these recipes or foods that people posted in the past-like deletedelete, Asia Aereola or mimi, would be nice if they were under one roof. sometimes when you need an idea for a meal, it helps.

anyone think so?

Since mimi, she's always here, maybe should could mod it.

i dunno, just an idea.

well not really.

Other than a few recipes, such as your own, there's not much in there.

But i think some of the women had put up several recipes in the past, but of course, they've been lost in the threads.

So it'd be nice to bring them back put them into one place.

Asia Aereola, deletedelete, mimi made a bunch up

Great idea, Joey! Yey! And while we're at it, let's also have a sex sub-forum, you know, all about sex, what's hot, what works for people, helpful tips and tricks, what the hubby likes, what the wifey likes, stuff like that.

...how about a forum where there's only 1 board and no sub-forums...

Maybe call it "vancouver forum" or something.

I would be prime candidate to moderate either due to my life experience, but I don't have the time.

No I was just taking a shot at how many sub-forums there are. To me all they're doing is slowing the main board down.

(not to you) ...that's what the frickin' (main) board is for after all, "general discussion."

I see. I suppose they could be testing different methods to see what works. It's good to explore that way.

That reminds me, I like chocolate and strawberries but I don't like them together like a chocolate covered strawberry would not interest me.

Oh...alright, if you'll have it that way...some chocolate flavored whipped cream.

Somehow, I don't think strawberries suit you....will bring cherries popped open instead.

edit: nvm, i misunderstood your post. well, until somebody volunteers to start that subforum, post your recipes here! or in 'for the finer things' - that's the closest we got to posting only recipes:)

yumm!!

the finer things has a few food topics (and if you check the subforum rules it says 'food' there), but it needs one more - "what are you having rt now" thread:)

This is a thread about a recipe sub-forum, not food photos.
