Aaliyah – “More Than A Woman” (Mayada El Hennawi – “Alouli Ensa”)

Petey Pablo – “Raise Up” (Um Kulthoum – “Enta Omri”)

Ms. Jade – “Dead Wrong” (Kazem El Saher “El Zaman”)

Ne-Yo and Fabulous – “Makes Me Better” (Sherine – “Aal Saaban Aleh”)

Nelly Furtado "Wait for You" (Muhlis Akarsu – “Allah Allah Desem Gelsem”)

The producer Timbaland seems to have used a six year old song from a finish musician and used it for the song "Do it" by Nelly Furtado

a comment from one of the youtube videos above

"plagiarism" and its against the law. many pop "art"-ists plagiarize even older music that was once popular in American not even 5-10 years ago, i dont see why no one has noticed yet, but Rihanna is famous by doing NOTHING but the plagiarism of music from all over. like Romanian artist O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tei" ('mya hee, mya hoo') AND Italian Eiffel 65's "Blue" (da bu de da bu dy)

i can't stand this country's pop culture. its so unjust that it makes me sick to the point that i have an ulcer

the rip offs continue

Country duo says Britney hit a rip-off

The Bellamy Brothers accused Britney Spears of ripping off their 1979 hit If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me.

Singer David Bellamy has made the claim after hearing the pop star's new song Hold it Against Me, but insists he won't be taking Spears to court.

In a statement, he says, "Howard and I have no personal beef with Britney. She's a talented gal. But professionally, well, in all honesty, we feel completely ripped off. Where's the originality?

"If you listen to the lyrics... you'll find some major similarities."

If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me, which Bellamy calls "one of the defining songs of our career", was a number one hit in the U.S. in 1979. Spears' new song is currently number one on the iTunes chart.

This song sounds Western, yet it's performed by one of Japan's most personable and charismatic pop stars.

Western style, Western beat, Western riffs, and every single instrument used was invented in the West. The only thing Japanese about this song is the language!

What you descibed is "all japanese music and all asian music". If it doesn't have that fucked up guitar looking thingy, it isn't asian. Also, they alsmost every single piece of modern technology from skyscrapers to business suits are western.

This song by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith is similar to so many other cheesy rock ballads. The weird thing is, the song premiered as the theme song for a Japanese blockbuster movie. Why wouldn't it have a song by a Japanese artist? Japanese people sure love their good ol' American rock 'n' roll!

The popularity of Lady Gaga's songs in Japan is very similar to their popularity in England and the USA. Sales in the hundreds of thousands, and hundreds of thousands of fans. In 2010, Lady Gaga was the best-selling international artist and won international artist or the year. Many Japanese fans imitate her which is also similar to her fans in the West. Japanese people have long had an adoration for Western culture.

Rihanna Accused Of Ripping Off Famed Photographer In S&M

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2 ... see-photos

Twitter has been abuzz with accusations that Rihanna has blatantly ripped-off famed photographer David LaChapelle in her much talked about music video, S&M.

The new music video, which was directed by Melina Matsoukas, premiered on February 1st, causing quite an uproar due to its highly provocative nature and has since been banned in 11 countries.

The source says that they became aware of the similarities between the video and LaChapelle’s work when staffers who handle his fan page, Twitter, and Facebook account called them to tell them they were receiving a lot of messages regarding the video.

Interns told us that fans were buzzing about the video and wanting to know if David had directed it,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “Then the phone in the office started ringing off the hook, everyone was like ‘wow it’s amazing – it’s the exact same.’”

The source said that they were completely unaware up to that point that the video was so heavily styled around what appears to be LaChapelle’s photography.

In a side-by-side comparison between LaChapelle's previous work and screen captures of the Matsoukas directed music video, the similarities are indisputable - with nearly identical sets, scenarios, and styling.

The source claims that Matsoukas had photographs from past Italian Vogue shoots by LaChapelle, ranging from 1995-2002 laying around the set of the music video shoot. And the evidence does appear overwhelming.

In one scene Rihanna is seen leading a man, who is crawling on his hands and knees, by a leash – a pretty much exact match to a previous LaChapelle Vogue photo.

In a bizarre twist, RadarOnline.com has learned that the man portraying a dog in Rihanna’s video is no less than celebrity blogger, Perez Hilton!

And, perhaps Perez wasn’t too pleased with the finished product, he later tweeted : “The next time you make a David LaChapelle music video you should probably hire David LaChapelle.” Ouch!

LaChapelle’s work is noted for it’s surreal, unique, sexualized, and often humorous style and has been described as grotesque, shocking and ironic.

He landed his first professional gig when Andy Warhol offered him a job as a photographer for Interview after meeting him at Studio 54 where he was working at the time.

Over the years LaChapelle has worked on all the great fashion magazines, as well as publishing four books of his works, featuring portraits of celebrities such as Courtney Love, Britney Spears, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, Pamela Anderson, Madonna and even Rihanna herself!

LaChapelle could not be reached for comment at the time this story went to print.

Lady Gaga once again ripped off another artist/singer

http://www.torontosun.com/entertainment ... story.html

Lady Gaga unveiled her long-awaited new single Born This Way on Friday - and immediately faced a barrage of accusations she has ripped off Madonna's classic hit Express Yourself.

The Poker Face hitmaker has been trumpeting her new track for weeks, and led a countdown to its release on her Twitter.com blog.

She finally uploaded the song on Friday - but within minutes a slew of critics and thousands of fans took to the internet to accuse her of stealing the beat, melody and subject matter from Madonna's 1989 global smash hit.

One follower writes, "Lady Gaga's song's good, but my God it sounds exactly like Madonna's Express Yourself", while another adds, "It doesn't just sound like Madonna's Express Yourself. You can literally sing the original over this one."

And even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton - a huge Gaga fan - noticed the similarities between the two songs, tweeting: "Express Yourself 2.0 is what people are saying? I'll happily take that!!!"

Jennifer Lopez ripping off Kat Deluna and Lambada

American Idol judge, Jennifer Lopez, 41, is being accused of ripping off newbie singer, Kat Deluna, 23. One listen to the above posted comparative video of DeLuna's "Party O'Clock" and Lopez's "On the Floor" which illegally combines two preexisting songs and it becomes very apparent the allegations are true. The Lopez track was produced by chronic copyright infringer, Red One.

Lopez, seeking to breath life into her failing music career, has ripped off a younger rival, which is unseemly...and now embarrassing, as the story has been making its way around the internet and into the mainstream press. Ironically, both songs in the video sound like the music from "Lambada." The (Anglo-American) entertainment industry is the most unoriginal, thieving entity on the planet. They have no respect for the law or people's rights and property.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 is similar to our Hot 100's. Some of the hottest Japanese singles this week:

8. Hold It Against Me - Britney Spears
9. What The Hell - Avril Lavigne
12. Pretty Girl Rock - Keri Hilson
13. Marry You - Bruno Mars
17. Only Girl (In The World) - Rihanna
26. Just One Kiss - Nick Carter. Yes - formerly of the Backstreet Boys.

http://www.billboard.com/charts/japan-h ... r=position

Similar, though a few of these artists that Japan loves are so yesterday to us now.
