Grilling a roast beef and Colby cheese sandwich with horseradish cream in a flat sandwich press. Plenty of butter too.

Salmon, broccolini, spud, and onions on the grill later. Chucked a 2.3 kilo leg of lamb in the slow cooker but unfortunately it's a little to long and the lid juts up a couple of ml's on one side, and I've run out of aluminum foil to compensate.

Jacked it to high setting for the first 1-2 hours and hoping it will settle down so I can drop it back to low. :(

Nope... that bone is just too long.

Instead of 6.5 hours on high, I'm going 9 hours. Outcome is roughly the same but I don't want gastro.

Lamb always comes in as a toss up for me, whether it would take last place or second last place.
When I have lamb (that's cooked properly), it bumps up to third. :D It's spectacular. Better than beef.

Seafood is number one for me.
Then 50/50 pork or chicken.
Then 50/50 lamb or beef.

Got it cooked but the seal meant it wasn't as tender as liked on the night, and proceeded to get drier in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Edible, but ruined. :(

We got a case of boneless lamb loin roasts for the Easter holiday. They look pretty damn tasty for $8/LB.

Had garlic prawn linguine for lunch.

Getting a burger, chips, and an extra large coffee delivered in a couple of hours.

Might finish up the night with a beef steak.

Ordered some home delivery a couple hours ago. Never came. At 1:20 AM, I lodged a complaint. Got AI. Eventually got AI pretending to be a person in an Indian call/tech centre. Got a template message and quick disconnect.

Killed the service because I can't abide cowardice and lack of responsibility in the face of breach of contract, no matter how many credits thrown at me.

Went to Pendalero last night with friends. We ordered the especial por 4. This place is an awesome Nicaraguan out door restaurant. Way more food than we could eat. The platter included Beef, pork, chicken, sausage, tortillas, rice beans, salad. We drank about 15 Tonas. All for under $50. It’s not a tourist place.

One thing I like about Latin America is that they make no excuses about eating carne.

Harvest Thick cut bacon is the best but it costs about $20 bucks for 1kg.

But it is way better then the cheap maple leaf stuff which is mostly water and fry’s into nothing.

Also if you ever head down south across the boarder shop Myers deli as it has some really good bacon and they slice it as thick as you want.

Thick cut streaky bacon hands down. It sucks though if done thinly.

I’d say both, for different applications

I don't see them as interchangeable.
Hub made a pork belly comfit, which became my new favourite. It's very rich, so it's something you'd only want to eat a few times a year. But heavenly.

I buy those noodles that you boil for two minutes then throw into the stirfry for the last few minutes with the sauce.

I came to get down.

Dinner is Completo style hot dogs with mashed avocado, diced tomatoes, diced spring onions, chili sauce, mustard, and Kewpie mayo.

Bought a big pack of dogs the other day and need to use them up.
