Eames chair? Take a seat

The classic mid-century modern Herman Miller Eames' Chair has been bot embraced and reviled. Is it comfy or just douchey?
Why does this "aspirational" chair & ottoman combo that yer grandpa might have sat in to watch the Jetsons cost $7,000 + US?
Maybe that's like asking why does your doggy lick his own balls?

Looks comfy, so whether or not it is also douchey is not my concern. I wouild certainly enjoy coffee in that small piece of paradise

I agree. I picked up a giant Laz-Y-Boy recliner that is relatively new but big as a whale and rather ugly at an estate sale about three years ago. I've grown to hate it, and would love to have the Eames instead. I'm already kind of a douche, so no worries there. I'm keeping my eyes peeled. I'd love to find somebody idiot enough to trade me.....even steven.
