This sounds yummy. I have never used sumac before, but this looks like something I might like.
Sumac...on the grocery list.
A friend gave me the sumac and I didn't know what to do with it. I made the salad today and it was yummy.

A warm soft pretzel with hot English mustard.

Every bite brings tears of happy suffering. :(

I had to look up 'dim sim'. Had not heard of this before. I'm quite familiar with dim sum, so wasn't sure if it was a typo, or something else. Apparently, it's something else. =)))

Dim Sim is a cabbage and pork dumpling of sorts... either steamed or deep fried.

Made a green curry last night with chicken, carrot, zucchini, spring onion, and baby corn.

Don't feel like cooking tonight. Might order some pizzas in. Haven't had a local pizza since moving back.

Prawn tacos tonight. They were ok. Meh.
Seems like a nasty thing to do to prawns. It wasn't awful or anything, but I'd likely never do it again on purpose.

Made a slow cooker beef stew tonight. It was good as it always is. I like cooking things in the slow cooker so dinner is a breeze. All the work is done in the morning unless you are making other sides.

The only way I like beets, is pickled. My mom used to make THE BEST pickled beets on the planet.

Oh sure...I haven't tried ALL of them...but I'm pretty sure they were the best.

My mom hated pickled beets. We made pickled cucumbers though.

I only like beetroot freshly baked, steamed, or boiled. But a little bit of olive oil and lemon juice goes well with them.

Aside from potatoes, I prefer the majority of vegetables raw, lightly sauteed/stir-fried or lightly steamed. And again, aside from potatoes, I'm not a fan of roasted vegetables. I've tried to get over it, over the years, but it never took.
I think my mom's ability to murder vegetables is at the root of all this. :D

(sorry mom  )
