I told him in text that my mouth was very keen on drinking more whiskey than my personal self could handle tomorrow (in order to show up), and I hated my mouth for such disobedience.

Canadians don't have to pay anything but the income taxes of the country they're working in. And, we have easy access to our tax documents so we can file without paying an accountant unless we choose.
