If I used Instagram, I think all I'd do on it is steal pictures.

instagram disables right click features also won't allow you to download the image from source.. I've actually had to screencap Instagram before

My right click isn't entirely disabled on Instagram. I use Firefox, click on one of the images > View Page Info > click on the media tab, and scroll down until I see the thumbnail I'm looking for.

I challenge either of you to link me to a page with media you think I can't download. No dark web stuff, but that goes without saying.

Well, those sites do still exist, but I have yet to see one that thwarts a good media download manager.

In the worst of cases, every image has a respective URL, and it's just a matter of isolating it.

Aside from touching and holding until a menu appears (if it does), it seems like the only other way is by using an app specifically designed for saving pictures.

The following article was the first thing I found after 10 minutes of searching. It suggests SaveGram and InstaSave. InstaSave leaves a watermark on the picture, and SaveGram requires login information for your Instagaram account.

Since I don't have an iPhone, I can't readily test these things before suggesting them. Are you able to download third party browsers on your iPhone? When I had an iMac I used Firefox more often than Safari. if it does let you use Firefox, I'm pretty sure you'll have an easier time with pics while using it.
