You go from not giving a fuck to caring too much on a weekly basis.

What's the meaning of life, Kat?

Depends on what you think I'm giving a fuck about.

I don't give much of a shit about humans, animals I've always cared for, always will.

Meaning of life certainly shouldn't be to ruin our home.

Has it ever occurred to you that the whole purpose of man, the whole reason we evolved from single celled organisms was to produce plastic for our mother Earth.

To be sure. My point is that man is incredibly narcissistic, we alter our environment to suit our needs. That is what sets us apart from the "animals". Many will say it is our use of tools that separates us from the lower creatures, but hell even birds can use rocks to assist in cracking open seeds and nuts and they have tiny fucking brains, don't even get me started on some of the higher mammals like otters, raccoons, etc. So we alter our environment to suit our comfort, and then berate ourselves for destroying nature's balance. We can't have it both ways. We can "conserve" and "recycle" but ultimately we are "Consumers", until that changes (meaning we abandon most if not all of our technology), or we ourselves become extinct, we will continue to be be consumers and continue to throw off the balance of nature.

It never ceases to amaze me that environment protesters use plastic kayaks, plastic signs, dressed in polyester and plastic blends clothes, and drink bottled water from plastic bottles, all while screaming about the use of petroleum products.

Petroleum use and carbon dioxide are not our biggest problem either, but they contribute to it. didn't talk much about plastics at all.

I'm watching Racing Extinction right now.

So does this mean you're also giving up sushi?

You know, it's okay if you don't take a stand on every social issue that makes you unhappy.

I think it's bigger than that, and I think it's important to do what you can, and I can do that.

I like how they tried to demonize Asian cultures for their fishing and eating practices. I guess they don't do as much in terms of preserving species, but they make it seem like they do nothing at all.

After all the humans are gone, many new species will surface and repopulate the Earth. They're looking at this from the perspective of the WWF (not the wrestling organization) in the 80s.
