Mood Music
Post whatever your mood fancies.
This one came on Spotify and made me feel good. My dad used to listen to this album all the time.

Re: Mood Music
I just boxed away all my cassettes. The Volvo had a cassette player, for some reason, and a CD player.
I miss my Metallica, guess I'll have to jump to the 90's to get a CD, ha.
This fits my current mood, but The Smith usually fits in when most music simply will not do for the moment. My go two's are punk and The Smiths. They don't go together per se, but yet they do.

Re: Mood Music
They kind of sound like Bauhaus and Book of Love with a touch of BiGod 20, unplugged style.

Re: Mood Music
Ha.
They were around before Bigod 20, though I do like them. I believe the Calling is from '85?
They are mood music for me. I rarely get depressed, but yeah, I'm not a happy camper.
The smiths also do it for me. Being able to sing I want to kick you in the face is good therapy.

Re: Mood Music
I wonder what ever happened to Kiki Dee?
I rather not listen to The Smiths when I'm depressed anymore. It seems to extend the mood, but at least I'm content with it by then.

Re: Mood Music
Who is Kiki Dee?
I get what you are saying about the Smiths. It just feels so happy to me, but yes, the words are dreadful at times.
Again though, best my able to sing shit like this lets me get it out without actually doing any harm.
"Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking, when I said
I'd like to smash every tooth in your head
Oh... sweetness, sweetness, I was only joking when I said
By rights you should be bludgeoned in your bed"
Metallica does it for me too, but I tend to just get more agro.
Pretty sure every single person in the store today thought I was about to become an active shooter situation.
Yet still, a small child stared me down. They fucking love me, it's odd.
I like to post these lyrics on my FB, but my mom always freaks.
Ha!

Kiki Dee sand a duet with Elton John called "Don't Go Breaking My Heart".

Re: Mood Music
I discovered a new band, and I like every song I've heard. Some appeal to me much more than others, but I really do like everything I've heard so far. They are called Tzu Sing. I heard them described as house music, but I don't think that works. They are dark, yet upbeat. It's like industrial techno with a Japanese feel, though they are from Malaysia.
Anyway, I really like it.
Here is a song a like, but like I said, it's all great.
