Getting a little worried about my brother close in age to me... he and his partner are travelling the world, but neither one has posted any Instagram photos of their travels since June 29...

July 10 and 11 - yesterday I found some A&W root beer coupons in the mail... yesterday I went to my closest A&W and got a free root beer... yesterday I went to my second closest A&W and got a free root beer... today after breakfast I went to my closest A&W and bought onion rings and got a free root beer... today at lunch I went to my second closest A&W and bought a teen burger and got a free root beer... and life is good :stars:

July 10 - it was a banner day for me... in the morning I applied to a Vietnamese restaurant downtown that currently has a sign promo going on... then, in the afternoon, my job search lady and I went to a number of businesses along the Shelbourne Corridor to see if they would be interested in starting up a sign promo... I was expecting a bunch of rejection, and I was expecting to get nervous and vomit... but, surprisingly, my stomach behaved itself, and a lot of the people we spoke to seemed interested in the idea... to be honest, I would really like to work for the liquor store two doors down from where I live... it's a really cool local independent store...

July 9 - didn't do anything out of the usual... I woke up too late to get to the Pride Parade... I also woke up too late to get to a BBQ at a church... still, I could've gone to a BBQ at the park behind the local swimming pool, but it was hosted by some people from my meetings, and it was too close to where my family members live... I didn't want my family to go for a walk and see me with my friends from my meetings... I gotta keep my family life and my meeting life separate...

July 4 - didn't quite make it as far as the breakwater, but I found a bench along the water that was a few blocks closer to my bus stop... and I was wearing swimming trunks, and it was after sunset, so I got away with peeing my shorts a couple of times... I'm on a water pill for high blood pressure, and my lower back (belt area) was acting up, making it difficult for me to walk all the way to the cafe by the breakwater to use their washroom... anyway, the fireworks in Port Angeles were good... lasted from 10:05 to 10:30, which is about 2 or 3 times longer than the ones in Victoria on July 1st... anyway, I wasn't the only one there... people in Victoria are starting to find out about the Port Angeles fireworks... in fact, someone was even videotaping the fireworks with their cellphone... pretty cool huh?

I'm alright with them here, but people should be respectful with them, and more than that safe.
They legalized them here because of money, and we are bordered by states that sold them.
We always had illegal fireworks around when I was a kid, someone had them, and sold them.

It's the opposite here in Victoria and neighbouring municipality Saanich... the fireworks laws for individuals are much stricter than in the 90's... generally fireworks here are reserved for organized events such as Canada Day and Symphony Splash...

They legalized a lot of fireworks here a few years back, now it's just getting louder, and more obnoxious.
How people can afford them I have no idea, my friend who is always bumming spent $800 on them.

I'm sure it'll be a mess across the water in Port Angeles too, but I'll be here in Victoria, so it should be quiet on the breakwater, aside from maybe a little wind.

I had burgers by the way, wasn't so impressed.

July 4 - went to the job search place earlier today... I couldn't come onto forums, obviously, but I was able to sneak a peek at a couple of websites I wasn't supposed to... I sneaked a peek at the Port Angeles website, and this year their 4th of July fireworks are happening at just after 10:15, not 10 pm... I will see them from Ogden Point tonight... I also sneaked a peek at my local public library website, and tried to make a reservation using my dad's account, but apparently he changed his library card number and didn't tell me... so definitely no library internet for me... anyway, when I got home from the job search place, I went to 7/11 next door to me, and got a couple of slices of cheese pizza, and read the fine print on the advertisements... apparently, the 2 slices of pizza for $2 deal and the 3 taquitos for $5 deal are only good until today... oh well... happy 4th of July to all :stars:

July 3 - it was technically a stat holiday since the real Canada Day (July 1) fell on a Saturday... but nothing really happened...

July 2 - went to my friend's barbecue... I was only there for half an hour, but ate a lot... I had a burger with cheese, ketchup, mustard, and relish... that was my first burger in a long long time... I also ate smoky bacon chips, carrots, broccoli, pea pods, celery, and grape tomatoes... I drank regular ginger ale and blackberry ginger ale... I got to chat with a few friends and a lot of acquaintances... it was kinda nice :stars:

July 1 - got to see the fireworks from my meeting... I was expecting 15-20 minutes but only got 10 minutes of fireworks... and the fireworks weren't as high as I thought they'd be... they were partly hidden behind trees and buildings... but nonetheless it was fun to see the fireworks and be with friends... also one friend shared their fries and McChicken sauce with me, and another friend shared their spicy chicken pizza with me... yum :stars:

Anyway, here's how my weekend went...

June 30 -- saw that Tegan and Sara concert... I was clean and sober, but a lot of people had their "special concoctions" and "special cigarettes"... in fact, Tegan and Sara even encouraged such individuals to show off their dance moves in the front row... I was in the back corner in between a tree and the crane with the camera person... but nonetheless I had a really good time... I was jumping up and down to "Goodbye Goodbye" and "Closer", and dancing to "Boyfriend"... it was awesome :stars:

I told her that being a sign walker is the only thing that really really interests me.
That's the only thing I really really want to do with my life.
The lady that's helping me with my job search says that she's never heard anyone say that before.
We're gonna go to different companies in my neighbourhood and see if any of them are interested in doing a sign promo.

Although, I did find a restaurant downtown that is doing a sign promo.
I will apply to them tomorrow.
I decided not to apply to them today because I didn't want to do job search on the 4th of July :stars:
