You assume waaaay too much. You are right, you don't have the skills to operate or set up a forum.

An IP query tells you almost nothing. Besides, a good VPN such as Nord or Proton, (which BTW) are dirt cheap nowadays, changes everything. With the creeps on some of these forums, anyone not running through a security VPN, is an idiot.

By your logic, I guess if I chose to log out and then choose a server in Finland through my VPN service, you would think I'm Odi........Yeah good luck with that....moron...

Why not?...I suggest you sign up for one. It will keep your personal shit personal....Unless of course you don't have any personal shit to protect, but that's a different issue altogether...

I'm very old school when it comes to this stuff. Only on rare occassions I have been comfortable enough to let my guard down. Most times I've been lucky and nothing happened but all it takes is one mistake, one stupid decision and you're dealing with a shit storm.

I think you have to qualify how much you are willing to spend.

How much is too much before it cuts into your monthly BBW porn bill...

Renee makes it sound like not hiding your IP address will lead to the end of the world. There is really fuck all one can do if they know your IP address. Nothing. And the only info an IP address gives is town, and service provider. That's it. Neither which one can do much with.

However, if I query an IP address, and it originates out of Nelson, BC, with a valid service provider (proxies won't show a regular service provider), now just who the fuck would you guess that poster to be, Renee?

Now smarten up!

No, you smarten up.

An IP address is associated with ports that are unique to you device. If a hacker gains entry to an open port on your machine through your IP address, they can gain access to all your files and for many people that is as good as the end of world. It happens to thousands of people each year. How do you think computer based identity theft happens, fucking magic? You really are stupid.

Furthermore manipulation of an IP address is not that difficult. You may think that crippled gimp is posting on your forum but there is no certianty that it's her simply by assuming an IP address looks "likely". Let's face it, dipshit, you're lonely as fuck and we all know you have a thing for her. You desperately want her to be a real and active poster and that's just fucking pitful.

But in the unlikely event that she is sleazing around here, this is for her crippled ass..

The information selling business..

Your IP gets linked with your home address when you order something or just simply login to your account..
They sell your information to 3rd parties.

Your IP address changes but it gets linked again to your home address..

It goes something like that.

Use a firewall like you're supposed to, and you won't have to worry about hackers. Billions of people access the WWW through their normal IP address every day (including myself) with no problems, so I can assure you it's only you that has convinced yourself that your world would explode if you didn't proxy up.

Now you tell me how one would manipulate an IP address? Like I stated, I can tell when someone is posting through a proxy, as a non-regular service provider will be attached to that address.

I don't know why this is something that's hard for you to understand. This is why I can generally tell who is posting on my Guest only forum. It can get difficult at times when multiple posters post from, say, Vancouver. However, it's no different than Odinson... When you know only one poster posts from his town in Finland, and it's a genuine IP address from his town, who the fuck would you think that post came from? Odinson's neighbour down the road? Use your head, Renee. Real Woman is no different. How many posters do you think post from her town? One, and that's either her or her husband. So again, who would you think posted? Her, or her neighbour down the road that has never even heard of these forums? Use you brain!

So yes, she is sleazing around these forums. Why would I make shit up?

Well, a decent online retailer should not be selling that info! That said, your IP address wouldn't matter to them, since an online retailer would have your name, address, and credit card info anyhow if you ordered anything from them!

You are an idiot..... I almost have no words.

Do you realize how many online retailers get hacked each year, especially small time retailers? How do you think phishing programs collect sensitive info including IP addresses?

As Odi said, IP addresses are not static; they can change over time. But if they are assigned to you, they all lead back to your device everytime you're online. You should know this. AND ONLINE RETAILERS SELL YOUR ADDRESS ALL THE TIME, it's a source of revenue for them.....You would be a fool to think otherwise because with online sales,...you never know who your are really dealing with on the other end.

If you are not running some kind of virtual security program that MANIPULATES your IP address, you are vulnerable. You can be tracked right to your virtual as well as your physical front door through your IP address, making you a target for theft....Why the fuck do you think VPN providers like "Nord" or "Proton" or "Surfshark" are so popular? With a VPN you can pick and choose the server and country of origin you appear to be originating from. Most VPNs offer thousands of secure legitimate servers from dozens of countries that hide your real IP address. :kez:

I do not know why this has to be explained to you....The loss of brain cells due to your alcohol addiction maybe???...

BTW, I already eluded to WHY you would make this shit up....I will explain why I think you are either being trolled or you are bullshitting your way through this issue in due time....

So, Renee will proxy up when ordering online to protect her identity.

Calls me an idiot when I point out that if you order anything online, they'll now have your name, address, and credit card number.

That doesn't matter to Renee, that they'll have that info, since you are completely safe and anonymous as long as you proxy up.

And that's the whole point I'm trying to explain to Renee... Nobody gives a shit what your IP address is when you order online. They will already have your name, address, and credit card info if you want the package delivered...

1151. However, the 1151 will be replaced by the 1200 shortly, so I might wait for that to be released if you want the latest!

OK. I made it all up. The Real Woman doesn't exist on the forums at all, and barely even exists in real life these days either. She's horribly gimped, as her body has morphed into a Jello-like mass, unable to even feed herself, let alone post. There was no Nelson IP address with a valid service provider attached. In short, she isn't sleazing around in the background. Never has, and never will.

You are fucking hopeless, you know that?...

As usual explaining anything having to do with common sense is lost on you....I should know better by now.

Well, I guess you can now go back to crying a river on every fucking forum you stick your drunken face in about how your shitty house needs updating....You are obviously the only person on the planet having to deal with such a heinous situation; poor thing.
