A term for someone that thinks they are unique and special, but really are not. It gained popularity after the movie "Fight Club" from the quote “You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else."

Began being used extensively as a putdown for someone, usually on the political left, who is easily offended or felt they needed a "safe space" away from the harsh realities of the world, but now has morphed into a general putdown for anyone that complains about any subject.
Comedians have a hard time performing on college campuses anymore because of all the little snowflakes running around that get offended by just about anything they say.

I find it ironic that this kind of situation took place in a STARBUCKS in Philly where the population is approx 90% black.

This is the same Starbucks that pledged to hire 10,000 Syrian refugees which as a direct snub to unemployed military veterans.

The same Starbucks that never misses an opportunity to scream it's liberal social policies from the roof top.

The same Starbucks that ran a campaign called "Let's Race Together" which asked their baristas to engage customers on the subject of race relations.

The same Starbucks who's patrons are overwhelmingly young, liberal and vote democratic. (no conservative worth a shit is dumb enough to pay 4 bucks for a burnt latte).

The same Starbucks who's CEO was a huge Hildabeast supporter and campaign contributor and was even under consideration for a cabinet level position as Secretary of Labor in a future Hildabeast Admin....(more pay to play)

The same CEO who has chided the Trump admin for not being "sensitive" to the needs of minorities.

I would be remiss if I didn't say that this incident didn't give me a little bit of ideological satisfaction.

All I can say is thank God this didn't happen at a Chick-Fil-A or a Hobby Lobby. Because the libs would be injuring themselves by contorting into a bunch of outraged, hate filled, foaming at the mouth, pretzel shaped, retards....😆

Socialist/Communist eat their own for an objective, and when they run out of people like us to eat.
That in government is how you get a Hitler, or Stalin.
I don't like this a bit, but Starbucks deserves it more than most.

You are 100% right.

The other day I told a bunch of libs on another forum that if they didn't have conservatives to hate...they would all die of their own self loathing.

They didn't like like that...

It's true, after the commies took over in Russia they started with each other till they had one power hungry nutjob. Germany was the same after Hitler was installed in office, any competition they went after, some jailed, and a lot of deaths by suicide.
It never fails, the Opposition has to go even if in your own party.

Preschool Discourages Children From Saying ‘Best Friend’ — Leads To 'Cliques'

ByJoseph Curl https://www.dailywire.com/news/29630/pr ... oseph-curl

Schools nowadays are doing some crazy things. But this one tops the cake.

A school in Georgetown, Massachusetts, 35 miles north of Boston, is discouraging children from picking a "best friend."

Did we mention it's a preschool?

The Pentucket Workshop Preschool in Georgetown told Christine Hartwell that her four-year-old daughter Julia shouldn't say the term. “The teacher told her she couldn’t say that there in school.”

Hartwell called the mandate “ridiculous," according to CBS Boston.

“Children who are four years old speak from their heart,” she said. “They should be able to call kids anything loving. You’re my best friend. You’re my best pal.”

The Georgetown preschool offered an explanation to Julia’s parents. Saying the term best friend “can lead other children to feel excluded” and it “can ultimately lead to the formation of “cliques” and “outsiders.”

The preschool wrote, they “encourage children to have a broader group of friends, and foster inclusion at this particular age.”

Hartwell says, even though it has been more than a month since the incident at school, it’s still sticking with her daughter.

“Even now, she goes to say it in a loving way, I’m going to see my best friend Charlie or this one or that and she looks at me sideways,” Hartwell says. “She’s checking in with me to see if it’s OK.”

I'll tell you what should be next.....liberal social justice bullshit and PC policies need to be banned from every single public school and institution in the US.

We also need to stop referring to fucking teachers as "educators" because most of them can't educate their way out of a paper bag. This is a real pet peeve of mine because the term "educator" gives these ego inflated idiots a false sense of intellectual superiority which is huge part of the problem. Teachers and school administrators now think they are smarter than parents and think they know what is best for your children.....Unfortunately in most cases, nothing could be further from the truth. All too many of them are nothing more than over paid, self absorbed, pompous, faux intellectual, weenies.

Many of the teachers don't want to teach that kind of BS, but you wont here from them unless face to face.
You know how the media is about loving everything socialist.

From cradle to then grave, that's how liberals want everyone controlled, except them.

Don't take it out on people like her, or at the counter, ask for a manager if there is an issue that you want to go off about.

Even though I know this was not real, it made me ill and angry at the same time.

Unfortunately it is an accurate portrayal of what is going on in many of our higher education institutions. There are far too many of these radicalized lunatic "I-gen" little shits running around today...I firmly believe that they need to be rounded up along with their idiot parents and their so called "teachers" and then forcibly reeducated AND most of all, resocialized. Their idiotic view of society is literally perverse.

We have bred an entire generation of people who derive social status from the level of victimization that they believe they are experiencing. The more of a victim they perceive themselves to be, the higher they precieve their social status. This is just so wrong on so many levels that it's almost impossible for me to get my head around, especially when you consider that these worthless little liberal turds have absolutely no life experience to draw upon. Worse yet, most of them don't want life experience; they simply want to be outraged and angry over distorted views of reality that have been planted in their empty little heads by their leftist teachers and the twisted shit found on the internet and social media.

IMHO, if we as a society do not take steps to stop this trend now, we WILL be in for a world of trouble very soon. We are going to create a society were people will not be able to function in the real world because they will be too emotionally fragile, too socially rigid and lacking in education to handle the rigors of global reality. It's literally a horrifying and dismal future these morons are creating for themselves.

I posted it because it's how they really are, and what they want with all their violence.
The Democrat party even promotes it up front now thanks to Obama emboldening their actions with his rhetoric, many other also leading that party of nut jobs.

Thought Police: Public University’s Rules Now Prohibit Offensive Facial Expressions
By Benjamin Arie
December 12, 2018 at 5:53pm https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/thoug ... pressions/

When George Orwell famously wrote about a dystopian future where your every thought is monitored, he shouldn’t have set it in Great Britain. It would have been much more accurate had he instead written about American college campuses.

We’ve known about the alarming trend of coddling and control at colleges for a while, but it may be getting worse. At the publicly-funded University of Montana Western, college administrators seem to be doing their best Big Brother impressions.

That university recently published a policy which threatens punitive action against students for making — wait for it — “mean facial expressions.”

“While discussions may become heated and passionate, they should never become mean, nasty or vindictive in spoken or printed or emailed words, facial expressions, or gestures,” the official Civility Standards at Montana Western declare.

Who decides what a mean facial expression looks like? Nobody seems to know.

“The policy says students must promote an atmosphere of civility and that their discussions should never become ‘mean, nasty, or vindictive,’ but those are all entirely subjective terms that could be applied to punish constitutionally protected speech,” Laura Beltz of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education explained to Campus Reform.

She’s right: People use a variety of facial expressions when upset, flustered or merely just excited. If you roll your eyes or raise your eyebrows, is your academic career over?

“If it is the responsibility for students to uphold these standards, it follows that they may be punished for perceived violations of these standards, in this case, for failing to promote civility or for having a discussion that is deemed mean, nasty, or vindictive,” Beltz pointed out.

Being punished for making a face seems like something that belongs in kindergarten, not a major university attended by serious young adults. But that certainly seems to be how the policy is written.

“According to the policy, violations of the Student Code of Conduct can result in suspension of a student’s technology account, suspension, or in extreme cases, expulsion,” explained Campus Reform.

“Even if the policy isn’t actually applied that way, students who read the policy and see how vague it is are likely to self-censor instead of taking the risk that something they say will be seen as mean, nasty, vindictive, or not civil,” Beltz added. “This sort of chilling effect on protected speech is unacceptable at a public university like Montana Western.”

If someone doesn’t think these kinds of policies could be used to infringe on free speech and inspire proverbial witch hunts, they probably haven’t been paying attention.

A few people happen to have an odd facial expression that just happens to be a part of how their face looks! I suppose they'll have to get plastic surgery before enrolling in school now, just to make sure they aren't offending anyone with odd looks or stares?

If this goofiness continues in Western educational institutions, I can predict the time will come when private sector employers will actually prefer potential employees who do NOT have post-secondary brainwashing/education! That's OK though, since public sector employers will always prefer to hire the most brainwashed and left-leaning individuals, as they're apparently a 'good value' for them to waste our tax dollars on!

Well people think I'm mad all the time when I'm not till they bother me about why I'm mad.
I can't help how I look, and i'm not putting on a fake smile for their petty benefit.
