Who knows why people get tattoos or where they get them. I'm usually more concerned about the artistic quality and the number of them than I am about the placement.

They are purposely meant to have a sexual connotation and suggest that the woman wearing them is looking to entice a sexual response...While ripped jeans on the other hand are just a fashion statement that originated back in the punk movement of the 1970s. They were supposed to symbolize anger and a rejection of establishment norms.

That being said, a woman could walk down almost any street with deconstructed jeans on and not even get a single odd glance. But if the same woman walked down the street in the faux garter belt pants, a lot of people (mostly men) would assume she is a slut, a lose woman, a whore, etc.

Like I said previously, at one time I would wear those pants just to observe the effect they would have on certain people. My Uncle Tom, my dad's oldest brother and retired priest, would literally go apoplectic if he saw any of his nieces in an outfit like that. It would be a sight that I would not care to miss. He is a real asshole; a perfect product of my horror of a grandmother's upbringing...At one time in my life, giving him a coronary would've been a family accolade that I would have dearly loved to have garnered....

As I already said, I'm concerned about the quality of the tattoo. Bad ink look shitty on everyone, male and female... But if the tat is a high quality, artistically pleasing tat then it looks good provided it is placed tastefully and you don't overdue it. I've seen a lot of women with very well done tattoos but they are plastered with them and it looks freakish.
