So, going to be warm tomorrow here, I think Ill try to enjoy it in the sun if i can stand the light.
I got to get some pots ready for a few flowers, might make me feel good, or not.

So how about you, doing much ?
I almost thought it was my long weekend, until I just got a call for another job tomorrow. I had other plans, but knew things would go from 0 to 60 fast with better weather. Luckily the rates went up a nice $15/hour here this year, so I have less incentive to simply not answer my phone after a certain hour!

But still, not sure why people decide they want to move dirt at 10:00 PM the night before...

They pre build them, and number the logs, and you put them together.
It was huge, about three stories high, and he planted a big tree in the middle of it.

I hope he gets it done, and it makes him happy, it does take passion.
Here's the piece he was working on today. Uses a chainsaw that slides along that rack to cut...

That there rig is known as an 'Alaska Mill'. I knew some people that built like that back when I lived out in the Northwest.
As far as the log home kits, I grew up in one of those. It was manufactured by a company called Pan-Abode, and the logs had grooves milled into them that allowed for them to be constructed almost like lego. The company still exists today.

I actually got put on that job before, it's harder than it looks, and the smell is bad also, you smell it for days.
I hope those logs are seasoned, they will crack on him if not over time.

When I was starting at Ford I had plans to build one, but it never worked out for me.
They sell kits made to order here, I'm sure they do there as well, and you can get some really awesome looking plans.

Oh, the guy at work had to use maybe 1000 gallons of stain on his house, or more, he said the wood just sucked it up.
It was a sealer, and stain mix so that can cost a lot of money after building one of those, especially having to do it again in a few years.
Yep. Seems like a lot of work to me! However, he said he built the house in the background 40 years ago, so he does have basic knowledge of home building at least...
Building a house isn't rocket science if you learn a few things about framing, even electrical, and plumbing isn't hard.
the hard part is dealing with government agencies, and keeping up with code.
i have did quite a bit of building earlier in life, making a box to live in is pretty much like building a box. :teehe:

I know that name for it, I'm just retarded lately, and forgot about it.
I saw a show about that company also on Discovery years back, it was really cool how they routed out the wood, and packaged everything together.
They numbered every piece, and put together the homes before they shipped also.

Hello peoples, and I hope it's a nice day for you.
Here it was a pretty day, but my head had those Japanese guys in it playing those giant drums.
I did manage to make me a pineapple upside down cake, it's whats for supper :teehe:

I got news about my health stuff also today, my dentist has a bit of work to do before my surgery can happen.
good news is not any infection, or gun issues, bad is my teeth are a wreck from my last dentist, and could cause issues at some point.
They where going to clean my teeth, but they said they where already clean so that made me at least feel a little better.
Well the way it's looking I may die before getting surgery because of other issues, it's alright though because I'm not looking forward to any of this stuff.

So any good news from anyone, I hope all is well.

Thinking about changing the summer tires but the forecast promises snowfall.

A lot of people have changed their tires.

I would figure you are a little behind us in the weather, but here it's May 5th usually when it's safe for planting.
i would think it would be time to change tires also.
Up north it's a week, or two later on the border.

Good to here it's good there, not all that bad here for the moment.
I got a little done here, tub calked, some touch up painting, and floor cleaning.
LOL, if I could cook I would make a good wife, being a lesbian as I am :woot: that's alright.
Well hey, if men can be woman now I can be a man that's a lesbian right

Good morning peoples :) I hope it is for you anyway.
Well been up a while now, and changed a cabin filter in my car, man it looked like nightmare.
There was big globs of stuff that came out of it, and I had to vac it out where it kept falling out.
I'm not sure Ill be able to do much today, my breathing is a bit messed up.

Well good weekend to you, have a good day. :howdy:

Hi Blue. Not fun, no sun. High winds and heavy rainfall. We are experiencing one of the coldest May's on record. There is even snow in some of the higher altitudes. As well, my workplace has become a place where most of the staff, (including myself), are ready to quit. We are just overworked and definitely underpaid. The boss man better get ready for a mass exodus.

I feel for you Beanthere, been in that situation myself a few times.
I do think it's funny watching the bosses scurry around kissing butts when people start walking out, it's worthless pandering though.
Looks like they would figure things out sooner, and pay for good effort in an employee.
The bad part is the employees not putting in an effort, and others doing work they should be doing.

Drab here today, a little sprinkling, but feels nice so far.
I cleaned some gutters off, mold, and mildew is nasty stuff, and ate the paint off in places.

What the hell have you been eating !
Never mind, plumpers right, you gotta add some fiber when you eat something like that Odi.

I have a caved in pipe in the basement under the concrete, I worked around it by adding a pipe above ground.
It's all a wet wall anyhow so no matter.

That reminds me! I've been meaning to get one of those alarms for the basement floor that goes off it detects water... My basement could be flooding right now and I wouldn't know it!
