I am currently learning about electricity and have been wondering if there isn't something to this electric universe theory

celebrate the Exposition Universelle held in Paris in 1900, a number of French artists were commissioned to produce a series of cigar box cards on the theme ‘En l’an 2000’. They came up with some fantastic imagery: in the future world they portrayed there was clearly going to be a great deal of aerial warfare and submarine sport, and a lot of electricity. The denizens of the year 2000 would put on their makeup with electricity, they would farm with electricity, and travel everywhere by electricity.

In one especially striking image, a group of schoolboys sit at their desks with electrodes strapped to their heads. In the corner of the classroom, their teacher feeds textbooks into a machine that minces them up, distils the information they contain and transmits it directly into the schoolboys’ brains. That century-old image of French schoolboys having their heads electrically pumped full of knowledge seems a good place to start thinking about a more recent manifestation of bodily electricity: the announcement by researchers a few months ago that electrical stimulation of the brain could turn us all into better thinkers.

In February 2016, scientists working at the Catholic University Medical School in Rome published experimental results showing that the memory and mental performance of lab mice could be significantly improved after short bursts of very low-intensity electric current were delivered to their brains through electrodes attached to their scalps. The scientists found that the electric stimulation led to increased levels of a protein called BDNF that plays an important role in neural development. Two years before, scientists at Northwestern University announced that using a technique called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation to deliver electrical currents, they’d improved memory in their human experimental subjects. Both research teams highlighted how their methods might offer better treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and other disorders involving memory loss, as well as improving memory in healthy people. The Italian study was sponsored by the Office of Naval Research and was hailed as offering ways to enhance the performance of military personnel in highly stressful situations, too.

It’s not only the mind that a dose of electricity can help. Some gyms now offer clients the option of electrical stimulation as they exercise. Imagine going through your usual routine, but dressed in a full body suit festooned with electrodes; as you exercise, the electrodes deliver a series of small electric shocks that further stimulate the muscles, providing an additional workout.

Technologies like these, that use electricity to enhance body and mind, are often presented as the cutting edge of science. But those French illustrations should remind us that using electricity to improve ourselves has been part of our technological imaginations for some time. What is it about electricity that makes it seem such a fertile resource for these sorts of transformations? And how has our changing understanding of our electrical selves been shaped and reshaped as we have turned electricity into a powerful tool for remodelling ourselves?

Let’s start with Sir Isaac Newton. In successive editions of his Opticks (first published in 1704), Newton was in the habit of adding what he called ‘queries’, or questions, that in fact tended to be rather more like magisterial statements of his views on contentious issues in science. ‘Is not Animal Motion perform’d by the Vibrations of this Medium,’ Newton ‘asked’ in one of these, ‘excited in the Brain by the power of the Will…?’ He meant the ether, but to many of his followers that meant electricity too. Experimenters playing with this mysterious new power knew that it did strange things to their bodies as well. It could make their hair stand on end and attract bits of feather or scraps of cloth to their fingertips. The natural philosopher Stephen Gray demonstrated how this strange power of attraction and repulsion could act at a distance by suspending a child in the air and passing the electricity from his generator through its body.

Enough electricity could make a human body jump and twitch. In 1746, Jean-Antoine Nollet used electricity to make a line of a 108 royal guardsmen jump into the air simultaneously. This trick amused Louis XV so much that he had Nollet repeat it in Paris with a line of 800 Carthusian monks. Demonstrations like these suggested there was something visceral about electricity that pulled and twisted muscles and nerves.

Electricity was about sex as well. In one popular demonstration, a young woman stood on a stool holding the chain from an electrical machine. As long as no one touched her all was fine, but when a gentleman was challenged to give her a kiss the sparks flew. Then there was medical entrepreneur James Graham’s Celestial Bed. In 1781, based at his Temple of Hymen on fashionable Pall Mall in London, Graham charged wealthy childless clients £50 a night to have sex in the electrified dome and forged a link between electricity, sex and fertility that would persist throughout the Victorian era.

The discovery of so called ‘animal electricity’ was announced to the world in 1791 by the Italian physician Luigi Galvani. For the previous decade Galvani had been experimenting with the effects of electricity on living tissue and had concluded that all animals – including humans – had their own innate electricity, secreted by the brain and distributed through the body by the nervous system. It was whilst trying (and largely failing) to disprove Galvani’s claims that his fellow Italian, Alessandro Volta, invented the instrument he called the pile – what is now called an electric battery. At about the same time, another physician, the Viennese doctor Franz Anton Mesmer, developed his theories about animal magnetism. Mesmer claimed that all bodies contained a magnetic fluid; by manipulating that fluid, he believed, he could cure mental and nervous diseases, as well as make his magnetised (or mesmerised) clients act like puppets, subservient to his own controlling mind.

The notion that people’s bodies contained mysterious electric and magnetic fluids that made them susceptible to others’ control was both fascinating and terrifying in the closing decades of the 18th century. These were the best of times, and the worst, as the revolution ignited in France and swept across Europe. Conspiracy theories about secret groups of powerful men pulling at the puppet strings of society for their own inscrutable purposes were rife. Galvanism (animal electricity) and mesmerism (animal magnetism) alike looked like the tools they might be using to destroy culture – or that was how they seemed to a hysterical Edmund Burke in his Reflections on the Revolution in France (1790), and to his friends at the Anti-Jacobin Review. Some of those Jacobin revolutionaries agreed. If electricity, rather than the soul, really was the power that governed bodies and minds, then it could be a very potent political weapon indeed. Electricity was heady and dangerous stuff. Its intimate relationship with our bodies and ourselves made it so.

In 1803, Giovanni Aldini (Galvani’s nephew) visited London to defend animal electricity against its detractors. At one performance he electrified a decapitated dog, with the Prince Regent in the audience. As the climax of his visit he carried out galvanic experiments at the Royal College of Surgeons on the body of a man named George Forster, just hanged for murder. It was a gruesome affair: ‘The jaw of the deceased criminal began to quiver, the adjoining muscles were horribly contorted, and one eye was actually opened.’ Aldini was lampooned in the anti-radical press as just another buffoon trying to con the public that electricity was life. But even amongst the relatively staid fellowship of the Royal Society, Aldini had plenty of supporters. He was sponsored by the Royal Humane Society who thought his experiments offered a way of bringing drowned sailors back to life.

Mary Shelley certainly knew about Aldini’s experiments when she wrote Frankenstein. Discussions about electricity, the soul and the possibilities of artificial life were common currency in the literary and political circles in which she and her husband moved. In 1818, the year Frankenstein was published, another electrical resurrection was attempted in Glasgow, this time on the body of a convicted murderer called Matthew Clydesdale. The experiments were carried out by doctor Andrew Ure, who waxed dramatically on how electricity turned the dead man’s body into an automaton: ‘Every muscle in his countenance was simultaneously thrown into fearful action: rage, horror, despair, anguish, and ghastly smiles, united their hideous expression in the murderer’s face.’ Seventeen years later, in his Philosophy of Manufactures, which extolled the virtues of the factory system, Ure celebrated the ways in which machines forced their human operators to act like automata. An exasperated Karl Marx called Ure ‘the Pindar of the automatic factory’.

If the body was really electric, it had all sorts of interesting implications. The Edinburgh publisher Robert Chambers in his scandalous and bestselling Vestiges of the Natural History of Creation, anonymously published in 1844, argued that all the evidence showed ‘the absolute identity of the brain with a galvanic battery’. He was not the only one to think so. The Welsh natural philosopher (and inventor of what we now call the fuel cell) William Robert Grove said the electric battery was ‘the nearest approach man has made to an experimental organism’. One of the most thoroughgoing Victorian attempts to turn humans into electrical machines was Alfred Smee’s Elements of Electro-biology (1849). Smee, a Tory and an Anglican, might have agreed with the liberal Chambers that the brain was a battery and that the nerves were ‘bio-telegraphs’, but that was the full extent of their agreement.

Smee thought that he could use his system of electrobiology to defend orthodox religion against radicals and unbelievers, since the electrical arrangements of the brain demonstrated the existence of God. We differed from animals, he claimed, because we had an extra bit of circuitry in our brains that allowed us to conceive of the divine. Smee went into considerable detail, showing how the different senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch might be reproduced with the appropriate electrical apparatus. The sense of sight, for example, might be produced by photosensitive chemicals in the eye reacting to light and sending electrical messages to the brain. Not everyone appreciated his meticulous concern for detail. Reviewers had a great deal of fun at his expense, and his efforts to construct ‘a living, moving, feeling, thinking, moral, and religious man, by a combination of voltaic circuits’.

However, if Smee was right and the nerves really were full of electrical fluid, then a dose of electricity could cure nervous disorders. After he took up a position at Guy’s Hospital in London in 1836, the physician Golding Bird opened an ‘electrical room’ where he offered electrotherapy to suitably deserving patients (large hospitals like this were charitable institutions meant to provide medical care for the deserving poor – who also made good experimental fodder). Bird published exhaustive lists describing the sufferers’ ailments, the electrical treatment and the cure (or otherwise). Nervous diseases such as chorea, caused in one instance by ‘terror from confinement in a cellar’, were usually treated by drawing sparks from the spine and administering electric shocks. Other treatments included an electric bath.

Bird’s electrical treatments at Guy’s were entirely orthodox, designed to stimulate the nerves and muscles. There were plenty of less orthodox alternatives on the market though. Bird complained that his commercial rivals ‘blazon their electrical and galvanic nostrums as a panacea for every ill’. The number of ‘medical galvanists’ had increased, he thought, ‘in the shape of the persons employed at some of the railways to exhibit the electric telegraph’.

The electric telegraph is key to understanding the way Victorians thought about their bodies and electricity. Invented in 1837 by Charles Wheatstone, professor of experimental philosophy at King’s College London, and William Fothergill Cooke, the telegraph’s capacity for almost instantaneous communication revolutionised how Victorians understood their world. A fascinating two-way metaphor soon developed in which the rapidly expanding telegraph network got used as a tool for understanding the nervous system, whilst the nervous system was invoked to explain the operations of the telegraph. Nerves, as we’ve seen, were ‘bio-telegraphs’, while according to Andrew Wynter writing in the Quarterly Review in the 1850s, the London headquarters of the Electric Telegraph Company was like ‘the great brain – if we may so term it – of the nervous system of Britain’. The telegraph engineer George Wilson prophesied how the telegraph would, ‘like the great nerves of the human body, unite in living sympathy all the far-scattered children of men’. The nervous system circulated information and instructions through the body, just as the telegraph network circulated information and instructions through society: in both cases electricity was the medium of communication.

If the body and its nervous system was just like the telegraph network then its electrical characteristics could be measured and standardised in just the same way. So telegraph engineers and medical electricians drew graphs of the human body’s resistance to electricity. They wondered just what sort of electrical apparatus the body was like. Was it like something relatively simple, such as a piece of the transatlantic telegraph cable (probably one of the best understood pieces of equipment in the late Victorian electrical world)? Or something more complicated, like a telephone receiver? In a world where electric power was beginning to be used in the home (with consequent dangers), and, after 1890, in a world where people were deliberately killed with electricity, they wondered and experimented on the physiology of death by electric shock. Practitioners of electrical medicine quarrelled over whether electricity should be delivered in standard doses or tailored to individual patients’ bodies.

At London’s Institute of Medical Electricity on fashionable Regent Street, entrepreneurial telegraph engineers joined medical men to offer the latest regimes of electro-medical treatment to the paying public – it was a joint stock company after all. Customers were assured of ‘high-class instruments, skilled attendants, accurate measurements and careful records’. This was one of the places where the link between electricity, exercise and health that is still with us today was first forged.

Patients at the institute could take their turn on the electro-gymnastic apparatus and exercise whilst being given electrical treatment. The place also featured an ‘electrified room system’, where a powerful induction coil connected between floor and ceiling set up a rapidly alternating field, which induced currents in the bodies of anyone inside it. Customers were also offered massages, during which electrical currents from the masseur’s hands would flow through their bodies. Those without the wherewithal to pay five shillings for a half-hour session could take the short walk to Oxford Street instead, and in 1891, buy one of C B Harness’s electropathic belts or corsets at the Medical Battery Company.

‘Electricity is Life’ was the Harness slogan. Yet it was a way to reshape the body’s future too. In his novel The Coming Race (1871) Edward Bulwer-Lytton fantasised about a subterranean race of beings called the Vril-ya, who controlled their world through their ability to manipulate electricity with their minds and bodies. If that seems too fantastic, the chemist, spiritualist and future president of the Royal Society, William Crookes, speculated in 1892 that there might be electrical organs inside the human brain that could allow thoughts to be transmitted from mind to mind through the electromagnetic ether.

Speculative authors like E E Kellett in The Lady Automaton (1901) imagined the construction of crying, talking, sleeping, walking electrical dolls that were indistinguishable from the real thing. The physicist Oliver Lodge wondered if the components of Guglielmo Marconi’s newly-invented radio apparatus offered a clue to how bodies were made. Was the nervous system a coherer, he wondered? The medical electrician Julius Althaus thought that ‘careful and appropriate use of the constant galvanic current’ offered a way of extending life. Electricity offered a language and a technology that could explain the shape of bodies to come.

Electricity remains deeply embedded in the way we now think about our bodies ourselves; we invoke electricity between people when we discuss sexual attraction, if we’re riveted by a theatre performance, we’re electrified, and when something shocks us into new states of feeling we say ‘it was electric’. We still think of ourselves as electric bodies. From Stephen Gray’s charity boys demonstrating conduction onwards, we have made ourselves electrical.

Just as the Victorians saw themselves as possessing bodies that mirrored the technological novelty of telegraphy, we now model ourselves on electronics. Our brains may be computers running algorithms that tell us what to do, rather than telegraph offices or telephone exchanges, but we retain the Victorian habit of modelling ourselves on technology. We mirror ourselves in our technologies, and as our contemporary culture carries on the trend of being ever more immersed in technologies that we see as being like us, that becomes an easier and more compelling way of being ourselves.

If we can use electricity to drive ourselves into better shape, it can be used to drive us into the ground as well

When exercise entrepreneurs try and sell us body suits that will shock us into health they’re repeating history, and the notion seems seductive because thinking this way about electricity and our bodies is culturally familiar for us. That electricity might boost brain power, or be used to cure neural disorders, seems right to us in the same way that it did to the Victorians. The use of deep brain stimulation to treat diseases such as Parkinson’s would seem very familiar to them, for example. Like the Victorians, we’re still using electricity and its technologies to project our bodies into the future, so that when we futurise our electric bodies, we’re reenacting our past.

That means that electric bodies can be frightening as well as seductive, though. They had Frankenstein’s monster; we have AI running amok. When Yuval Noah Harari or Stephen Hawking tell us to worry about a world dominated by electronic life, we take their claims seriously precisely because theirs is a dark fantasy already firmly built into our cultural circuitry. This is the necessary flipside of thinking that we can electrically engineer ourselves to be better. If we can use electricity to drive ourselves into better shape, it can be used to drive us into the ground as well. Currents to the brain can torture as well as cure. If confusing our bodies with our latest technologies is a pervasive feature of modern life (and it is), the conflation promises pain as well as pleasure. Electric dreams can also be nightmares.

This is a crossroad where the electronic universe and the holographic universe meet. I have been learning about electricity and as a wire with electric current flowing through it has an magnetic field and if another wire also has current going through it it too will have it's own magnetic field. If you put these two wires with a magnetic field together then you will have one stronger field and add more wires with a magnitic field together with the others the magnetic field will get stronger. Well people have enough electricity I believe I read before that you could light a light bulb with that amount in our brains. Now when I read the Holographic Universe I first learned about human energy fields. I also read two books on closing sales and both authors kept stressing throughout their books that the customer knows if you like them or not so really love your customer. Anither book I read over 25 years ago said that evwerybody sees through everybody. Along with personal experiences it is obvious to me that human energy fields are very real. If we have electricity flowing through us then of course we have an electric field. Does our human energy field show and reveal through a 6th sense that everybody can feel to varying degrees what we are like ? Does this human energy field radiate positive if our thinking is positive and kind generous, cheerful, playful, happy or negative if our thinking is say hateful jealous, egotistical, proud bitter resentful etc...? I believe that it is obvious so is knowledge of human energy fields being hushed up ? People could become positive by merely erasing all grudges, and thinking cheerful positive thoughts. Are not positive people attractive to the other sex ? Positive people are a joy to be around. I believe that I have realised something that is huge and easily life changing. Radiating a positive energy field Iit appears to me merely takes keeping ones mind positive.

Relationship between Human Energy Fields/Auras can Affect Computers & Electronics?

I often wondered why I apparently was the only person living in what feels like the twilight zone as my energy field/aura affects electronics. I can’t recall exactly how many watch batteries, computers, cell phones, cameras I have had to repair or replace way too often and more than normal. Before I begin, I would love to hear any comments, experiences anything from anybody who has or does experience same occurrences as I know I am not the only one and wonder how many people this affects? Plus it is very exciting to me to learn more,

Some examples of electronic energy affected my my own energy is many accidents, breaking things, electronics going off for no reason (alarm clocks, computers, music playing, printer/fax machine despite being turned off. There has been times where my laptop will blink on and off , and do funny things. But the irritating things are cell phones breaking or refusing to charge. (There has been several times where product would not work no matter what, to come back to it months later and working just fine.) Draining battery on watches more than anyone else I know, Going through ridiculous amounts of different computers, cameras and especially cell phones almost always related to battery problems. Also accidentally breaking electronics or having something happen despite being extra careful. I thought maybe it was just me, because that it was related to my energy I did some research incredibly I was right!

I find with me, these things only happens during major negative emotions, feelings
which I have and must continue to work on inner peace to get better at dealing with things, which I have come along way (I once was actually the most pissed off, miserable “woe is me,” believing my life to be most unfair with favourite phrase being “why me? And started being jealous, envious and taking it out on everyone and everything due to a lot of YES unfair negative life occurrences one after the next). To realizing I was unintentionally creating more of what I did not want by the way I thinking and feeling. There is no quality to that life so I had to do ANYTHING and by extending that one thought of how to make things different, and positive changes with strong intent and 100% belief this was possible, literally the movie The Secret fell into my lap which was the start of a life so much better and what once would have been unbelievable to me kept getting better as I kept going, reading researching and incorporating many different ideologies in Western culture, New age and many modalities to try to change my life thus started a major spiritual journey for positive change that has taken me many years and no where near perfect but a lot better as self growth and change is really a lifelong practice.

Furthermore, I am by nature an Indigo who tends to feel take on way too much and feels and thinks way too much about everything and everyone too deeply and to heart and while it is a good trait, it is draining and toxic to my extreme. To the point that my energy affects me in everyday possible including physical issues, at times majority affecting my sleep, health. As a result of all the consumption over the years of engrained behaviour and this personality trait had to be dealt with or improved for my wellbeing as it was hard to think positive when negative things were constantly happening especially cell phones. I have been through maybe 8 last year!

It really bothered me as besides this energy thing I have enhanced intuition and most things in life, I feel I just know and am usually very accurate. So I just knew that all that happened was related to physical energy and although almost everyone could see it, It bothered me that others would get angry, impatient or upset. Especially those closest always yelled, put me down, blamed me and summing it up to being clumsy, being careless or maybe just a coincidence that I was a klutz and did not care or take care of my possessions which is farthest from the truth as I am extra vigilant and careful and gentle now as it in every way is time, money and negative consuming to replace everything all the time.? And since it is hard to persuade almost anyone to believe in Quantum Physics or and unexplained phenomena! Maybe now this article will shed some light and help people to lesson the burden it causes.

For others who experience or suspect that an extreme energy/aura field may be a result of same circumstances,
don’t take it personally or as a negative thing as on the opposite spectrum, I believe that persons who have high energy, have amazing gift(s) of potentiality when energy is directed in opposition. When we feel good vibrations and the mind, body and soul are in harmony. When being in the moment and thinking and feeling positive for most part, it only makes sense that a change from negative to positive is not an annoying, costly curse but a blessing in disguise.

Knowing the extreme power of our energy fields affecting life in all ways to this extreme. If we have the ability to destruct or interfere with life, the opposite must also be true. And I have experienced extremely beneficial life circumstances and so-called “coincidences” out of the blue and very much needed on my journey. In knowing this, we have the potential to do and achieve very wonderful things in life by being positive and wonderful even if you have to fake it, if you work hard in lots of ways, you will make it. And in doing so impact the lives of many while enjoying the ride.

In practice, this energy is helpful to me in many areas, one instance of positive abilities isI can now harness this fantastic
energy and emit it to children I work with who have special needs, esp. within the ASD and have a special connection/bond that produces fast change nd growth, trust and positive behavioural change. I often envision an indigo light surrounding us and sense a feeling of peace and security that is a totally amazing feeling and such a pleasant reward to have a career that truly makes a difference in the lives of others!

Please note that while the phenomenon we are about to discuss is very real for many people (I’ve personally seen it in action many times) it is not necessarily widely recognized by the scientific or technical communities as a real causality of computer / electronics issues.

An energy field, or electric field, is a physics term used to describe the magnetic fields created in the space surrounding electrically charged particles. Because of our electrically charged particles, our cells and tissues generate electrical fields. This is typically referred to as an “aura,” although it’s a bit more complicated than that. Should you like to get into the science behind this, here is some information surrounding the possible physics of human energy fields.

It is believed (and seen and experienced by many) that your aura can interfere, interrupt, and even affect and break computers and electronic devices. For some this happens routinely, and they go through device after device, with each one breaking for no apparent reason. For others, the problem is experienced intermittently, like when their emotions are running high, they’re overly stressed out, or when they are sick or run down. And yet others still will never experience this phenomenon at all.

One possible reason that human energy fields can affect electronic energy fields is that our modern day electronics all contain quartz crystals which help the internal clocks keep time, and which also help transmit and receive signals. The computer is electrifying and vibrating the quartz using a magnetic field, so if your personal energy field is strong enough, it could affect and even change the frequency at which the crystal is vibrating.

If you are experiencing an abnormal level of computer or electronic weirdness, it could be because you too are experiencing disturbances with your energy field. If this experience is sudden and out of the blue, review how you’re feeling. Are you stressed out, angry, or feeling any other strong emotion that could be causing the problem? If you are overly emotional for any reason, try to find ways to calm your emotions and see if that helps the problem. If you’re sick or rundown, give yourself some extra TLC and see if the problem is still occurring once you’re better.

If you experience these disturbances all the time, such as the man I know who cannot keep a digital camera for longer than a few months because they just stop working, you could have a larger problem with your energy field, one that may be corrected by finding ways to re-ground yourself, along with visiting an energy specialist, such as a Reiki practitioner, who can re-attune and align your chakras (the energy centers at particular points throughout the body).

You can also correct the problem by keeping particular stones or crystals around your desk, to help mitigate the effects of your electric field. Some good crystals to use for this purpose are: black tourmaline, tourmalated quartz, hematite, smokey quartz, or unakite. When you are experiencing effects, either wear the stones, or place them on your desk while you’re working.

Secondly, I was right!!!!!

As an intuitive, I’ve seen auras since childhood. Over the years, I began to study what I saw in the aura, observing the energetic patterns and shapes as well as short energy bursts that I would see erupting from the body, similar to what occurs when the sun emits a solar flare. These energetic bursts are capable of disrupting electronics and are felt by other people who have intuitive ability and are sensitive to energy. Some people are aware of the energy they can build and for others it is a complete surprise when it occurs.

In some cases, it is not a burst of energy that is created, but rather energy residue that has built up and is trapped within the aura and energy bodies and is not able to be released properly. To imagine what this looks like in the field surrounding the body, visualize a thunder storm right before the rain is released from the clouds. The clouds are heavy and full, the energy gathers and the air feels pregnant, ready for a release. If the conditions are not right and the rain is not able to gently fall, tumultuous weather patterns can occur with lightning and high winds. Energy blocked in the fields can cause similar disruptions as it seeks to be released. When there is a blockage which stops the release of energy, it builds like a thunderstorm and can create havoc.

There are also people who have learned consciously with their spiritual practice, and sometimes subconsciously carrying over information from previous lifetimes, to balance and harness this energy. Here is solid evidence of the energy fields that surround people. It is my experience and I believe that we can't see the energy fields like these sharks can though those who see auras may very well have a similar sixth sense but we can feel these energy fields. It also appears to me that we can sense if someone is happy, distrustful, full of malice, jealous, egotistical etc... I wonder if this isn't why some average looking very nice girls who at first look average once you get around them start appearing beautiful to me. Could it be that their inner beauty warps my view of them ?


A Shark's Sixth Sense

Using the small, pore-shaped canals that pepper their snouts and heads, sharks can detect electricity.

Their reputation may hinge on their jaws, but when it comes to setting records in the animal world, it's not their relative jaw strength that tops the charts - it's their ability to detect electric fields. In fact, sharks are almost as precise as the best physics laboratories in the country when it comes to sensing tiny electric effects. They can use this "sixth sense" to find food and even mates, since all living animals create their own electric fields. I just watched an almost one hour documentary Thunderbolts of the Gods on www.youtube.com and some of the ancient symbols connections with this theory I believe are probably speculation however it does make a lot of sense. I watched a documentary on Tesla a few days ago and it mentioned that Tesla said "electricity is all around us" and this documentary I just watched backs this up. I believe that it is so obvious that it is being kept quiet for some reason.

City Killers - Electromagnetic Pulse Artillery Shells


The US Army is developing a compact electromagnetic pulse weapon (EMP) weapon capable of fitting inside a 155mm artillery shell capable of being fired near key enemy infrastructure.

The artillery shell, with its non-explosive payload, would be used to disable the electronics and radio communications equipment of anything within a given radius around its flight path.

Such a weapon would disable the modern war-fighting capabilities of an enemy but, aimed at an enemy town or city, it would act as a siege weapon that would disable all communications and electronic infrastructure in the vicinity.

Similar in concept to the nuclear-based neutron bombs that the Soviet Union developed to kill through intense radiation while leaving equipment unaffected, the EMP rounds would disable sensitive equipment while leaving biological life unharmed.

The line of research is outlined in an Army research document that describes the EMP artillery attack vector and its uses:

Extensive use of wireless RF (radio frequency) networking for critical infrastructure and communications systems provides an alternative attack vector for neutralization of an adversary's underlying industrial, civil, and communications infrastructure without the destruction of the hardware associated with those systems.

Advances in munitions-based microelectronics and power technologies make possible the implementation of non-kinetic cyber and electromagnetic or electronic warfare (EW) attacks that could be delivered via artillery launched munitions.

The precision delivery of the non-kinetic effects (NKE) electronics payload close to the target allows low power operation which limits the geographical extent of impacted systems and reduces the overall impact on the electromagnetic spectrum.

The eventual goal, as implied in the research proposal, is to shrink the devices to the extent that multiple EMP bombs can fit inside a single shell, but at this point the Army is still working to miniaturize and is open to the possibility of employing larger bore guns if needed.

The Army already possesses much larger directed EMP weapons, both ground based and those mounted on drones that can disable all equipment they overfly.

A reported 2012 test of a weaponized drone dubbed CHAMP (Counter-electronics High-powered microwave Advanced Missile Project) took out the electronics on seven targets it flew over on a Utah test range.

Using directed EM Pulses, the system uses ultra-powerful microwave generators to overload the electronics found in military or civilian equipment.

Whether this weapon would use traditional microwave generators as the drone does or some other yet-unrevealed method to generate the sizable EMPs needed is unclear, but the Army is researching several EMP-generation systems.

Mounting the system on a truck or in a downward facing orientation on a drone is relatively easy but any ground-based vehicles require some degree of line-of-sight whereas a drone can be shot down.

If the Army is successful in miniaturizing the EMP bomb so that it fits into artillery ordnance, it will be far more difficult for an enemy to stop its attack.

Nuclear weapons generate enormously powerful EMPs but the accompanying heat, deadly radiation and kinetic energy makes them impractical for tactical use on the battlefield.

The Army's focus on medium powered EMP able precisely to target a specific area with such an effective delivery system implies that the Pentagon is concerned with collateral damage.

Frying the electronics of a government ministry or weapons cache while keeping a hospital and water treatment plant outside its range remains a possibility.

In a world where battles are fought with drones, advanced communications, smart munitions and highly mobile troops, bringing your enemy back to the pre-digital age and shutting down all communications equipment is an enormous tactical and strategic advantage.

The concept has been proven at larger sizes but now the challenge is set to shrink the system into a package small enough to be fired in an artillery shell.

It may only be a matter of time until we see even smaller applications which present an ever-increasing danger to our digital societies.

Scientists Discover that Humans Have a ‘Magnetic 6th Sense’ to Detect Something We Can’t Even See

It’s called magnetoreception, and it refers to the ability to perceive magnetic fields. Several animals use it to find their way over long distances by aligning themselves with the Earth’s magnetic field. Sea turtles. honeybees, spiny lobsters, dolphins, migratory birds, and more all have a magnetic compass which allows them to use the information that’s coded into magnetic fields. We know little beyond that, however. How they use them, how they sense them, and what information they are getting from them remains up for speculation. For all we know, these magnetic fields could be used for much more than navigation for certain species.

According to Joe Kirschvink, the geophysicist at the California Institute of Technology who is currently testing humans for a magnetic sense, “it’s part of our evolutionary history. Magnetoreception may be the primal sense.” (source)

A recent study published by Kirschvink in the journal Nature Communications suggests that a protein in the human retina, when placed into fruit flies, has the ability to detect magnetic fields. The research claims that it can serve as a magneto sensor, but whether or not humans actually use it in this way is unknown.

“It poses the question, ‘maybe we should rethink about this sixth sense,’” University of Massachusetts Medical School researcher Steven Reppert told LiveScience. “It is thought to be very important for how animals migrate. Perhaps this protein is also fulfilling an important function for sensing magnetic fields in humans.”

In one of Kirschvink’s recent experiment, a rotating magnetic field was passed through study participants while their brainwaves were measured. He discovered that when the magnetic field was rotated counterclockwise, certain neutrons responded to this change which, in turn, generated a spike in electrical activity. This suggests a possible magnetic sense in humans.

Yet multiple questions still remain. For example, was this neural activity evidence of a magnetic sense or something else? Even if the human brain responds to these fields in some way, that doesn’t mean that information is being processed by the brain. There is still the question of what mechanisms are in place within the brain or body that receive these signals. If the body does indeed have magneto receptors, where are they? The next step for researchers is to identify them.

Kirschvink’s study is one of many publications delving into the mysteries of magnetic fields and what impact they have on human beings. The leaders in this area of research will most likely be found at the HeartMath institute. An internationally recognized nonprofit research and education organization dedicated to helping people reduce stress, self-regulate emotions, and build energy and resilience for healthy, happy lives, HeartMath tools, technology, and training teach people to rely on the intelligence of their hearts in concert with that of their minds at home, school, work, and play.

Researchers at HeartMath have begun what’s called the The Global Coherence Initiative (GCI), an international cooperative effort to help activate the heart of humanity and facilitate a shift in global consciousness. It aims primarily to invite people to participate by actively adding more heart-coherent love, care, and compassion into the planetary field. The second focus is scientific research into how we are all energetically connected with each other and the planet, and how we can utilize this interconnectivity to raise our personal vibration and thereby help create a better world.

The hypotheses of the researchers and scientists behind this project are as follows:
•The Earth’s magnetic field is a carrier of biologically relevant information that connects all living systems.
•Every person affects this global information field.
•Collective human consciousness affects the global information field. Therefore, large numbers of people creating heart-centered states of care, love and compassion will generate a more coherent field environment that can benefit others and help offset the current planetary discord and incoherence.
•There is a feedback loop between human beings and Earth’s energetic/magnetic systems
•The Earth has several sources of magnetic fields that affect us all. Two of them are the geomagnetic field that emanates from the core of the Earth and the fields that exist between Earth and the ionosphere. These fields surround the entire planet and act as protective shields blocking out the harmful effects of solar radiation, cosmic rays, sand, and other forms of space weather. Without these fields, ice as we know it could not exist on Earth. They are part of the dynamic ecosystem of our planet.

We know how these fields affect us, but what about how we affect these fields? That’s the real question here. Gregg Braden recently gave a presentation at the Creative Living Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona. Gregg’s presentation goes a long way in extending our understanding of how the field of science has an intrinsic connection to spirituality.
A bestselling author and a computer geologist who’s had the honor of addressing the United Nations; Braden currently works at the Heart Math Institute.

The boys at Heart Math have been conducting pioneering research into a previously little understood field. They detected these changes on the day of the 9/11 terror attacks. So the hippies at Woodstock may have actually been on to something.

Enough people dropping into their hearts can actually have an effect on the natural world. We are more interconnected than we realize at first. This technology and research is paving the way for a new understanding, or do I dare say a “recollection” of the sacred connection between energetic fields in our Universe. The human aura is a real thing and has real effects.

While this connection has always been well-known among the ancients and aborigines, mainstream science has only begun to ask the right questions in recent years.

JUNE 2019 - THE NEW EARTH 5D ENERGY TEMPLATE

In 5D consciousness, we need to be ‘personally responsible’ and not blame others for what is ours to own. I’ve stressed this point for many years now, especially over the past 12 months. We can no longer act as if our words and actions don’t impact anyone other than ourselves. They do. Every thought wave that you emit is having instantaneous repercussions, hence the essential ‘need’ to take your role as a compassionate being - seriously.

MANIFESTING IN 5D - A PRACTICAL UNDERSTANDING
Thought is energy and energy moves in waves. In 5D consciousness, a greater level of energy throughput is occurring in the etheric (invisible energy) field around Earth. This means that the energy waves created by your thoughts are oscillating faster, and the nodes, which attach themselves to the thought waves are able to collapse quickly (they’re closer together) - forming matter. This then allows the matter from your ideas to build into things, almost instantly. The gap between thought and thing has shortened.

OCTOBER 2019 - THE GLOBAL HEART OPENING BEGAN
Back in late October 2019, the great heart chakra point of our planet ULURU had a massive re-set, closing the great rock to climbing. Climbing all over the heart chakra of the planet is something that our indigenous cultures had asked to be stopped for decades - it finally occurred. Uluru’s energy (Earth’s heart energy) is being re-set and sending a high-vibration energy wave into the heart chakra of every being on our planet. No one is being WALKED OVER (like Uluru was) any more. Have you felt this occur in your life?

Just prior to Uluru’s climbing ban, significant bushfires began breaking out in Australia (with a ferocity that we hadn’t seen before). This accelerated in October and continued well into 2020 - covering every state of Australia. The WHOLE GLOBE was affected, with approximately 1 BILLION animals having died in the fires. THIS ANIMAL LOSS ALONE further expanded our heart chakras and feeling of empathy and compassion. Plus, the smoke from the fires circulated all over the globe, affecting the LUNGS of millions.

EMPATHS FIELDED MUCH OF THIS HEART-EXPANSION ENERGY
Those aware and conscious beings who are especially sensitive to energy (the Empath’s) felt this heart-chakra expansion the most and fielded and filtered through them a lot of Earth’s pain and sadness - particularly for the animals, who left us in such vast numbers. Considering that animals are (and always have been) the energy balancers of our planet - this role was now being handed over to us, in a BIG way. It also made us reconsider FARMING animals for consumption and how many billions we lose every month to this.

CONSCIOUS CONSUMPTION - THE RISE OF VEGETARIAN LIVING
For years countless voices (including my own) have called for a clean living society - one where respect is given for the feelings and rights of ALL sentient beings of the light. For too long, humanity has been consuming and using meat and animal products that are not necessary for all to live (particularly in the amounts that many are consuming). This heavy, dense and often toxic energy from dead animals (who usually live in fear while alive) has been absorbed by our cells and energy fields - keeping us locked into the heart-disconnected 3D level of consciousness.

With the current coronavirus most probably stemming from wild animal to human consumption no bigger WAKE-UP call can be here than to consider ‘very carefully’ your choices when eating and using foods and products of all kinds. I’ve always felt that by the year 2030 the world would be forced to become primarily vegetarian, if they hadn’t already done so - by free will. This is now coming to pass, as awake and aware beings find it extremely difficult (with an open heart) to consume and benefit from the pain of fellow beings of the light - no matter the body suit that they wear - fur, skin, feathers or scales.

THE CORONA - THE CROWN OF LIGHT
Indeed, with our massive heart-opening underway since October 2019, energy has been released through the HEART, LUNGS, THROAT, THYMUS, THYROID, BRAIN and from an energetic standpoint the heart, high heart, throat, third eye and ultimately the CROWN chakras.
Many (whether infected with a physical virus or not) have been experiencing heart palpitations, thymus fluttering, migraines, coughing and clearing of phlegm from the lungs, since late 2019. Can you relate?

It’s interesting that covid-19 is a CORONAvirus - the crown like spikes on the virus give it this name. Corona indeed means ‘The Crown - a glowing circle of light - a HALO’ - the ultimate gateway of in-flowing cosmic energy. When the heart chakra opens, it sends energy up from the Earth into the thymus, pineal and pituitary glands and thus activates our higher consciousness. The energy of the head can then more easily DROP down into the heart and bring above to below, below to above. This results, is an aware - cosmically connected human being that thinks and acts with their heart.

THE SCHUMANN RESONANCE - MENTAL STATES
Since October 2019, humanity has noticed an increase in mental activity. Many have reported a marked rise in anxiety, bouts of depression and an inability to sleep - as their brainwave speeds have increased. This is in direct correlation to integrating 5D energy, which is fast moving compared to 3D. To anchor and slow down thoughts, one needs to be coming from the heart centre in all communications. This is something that is now beginning to happen en masse (and will take time for people to get used to the new wave of ‘thinking from the heart’). And all of these changes have been in direct correlation with The Schumann Resonance which has been amplifying to unprecedented volume levels - including up to a HUGE power of 170, only three weeks ago. The base line frequency is 7.83Hz.

SPIRITUAL COSMIC CONNECTION - GROWING COSMIC CULTURE - SOCIAL-ISOLATION - GOING WITHIN
Along with all of these changes, having a connection with a deep meaning and purpose in our life is essential. Of course, many people have not had this, have not been looking for it and NOW it’s being forced upon them. Social isolation - being with the 'self’ without distractions (as is happening now ) with an imminent world-wide lock down period inevitable, will be a catalyst for hundreds of millions, perhaps billions of people to slow down and naturally be drawn WITHIN.

As we know, having a spiritual connection has nothing to do with religion (which interestingly will now be completely disrupted with people being unable to attend services) and everything to do with having a trust in the soul, the spiritual reality, which exists within and through every living being. We are all spiritual beings by nature. It’s the spiritual dimension, which gives rise to the physical and our human existence. I’ve been mentioning the need for a growing ‘cosmic culture’ for many years now and finally it’s happening. We must turn our attention within (to know ourselves) and expand our awareness of our responsible place within the cosmos. We are cosmic citizens first and human citizens second.

CONTINUED RISE OF THE COSMIC FEMININE ENERGY
Indeed, the rise of the cosmic feminine (the energy flow, which exists within females and males alike) has been on the increase over the past 100 years, with an acceleration since the 1960’s. An appreciation, acceptance and full balance with the cosmic male needs to be achieved before we can be an enlightened, open, 5D conscious, cosmic society. And it’s happening in 2020 at GREAT SPEED. The work that so many brave women and men have put in over the past 100 years - to bring about feminine equality, is now bearing rich fruit. The Aquarian era of balance and collaboration - equality for ALL sentient beings of the light is coming to bear.

CHILDREN - THE NEW HUMAN?
Indeed, it’s notable that some reports are showing that more men than women are passing with the coronavirus (early suggestions, being that ESTROGEN - the feminine hormone - could be a protectant in women) and that children are far less susceptible to severe outcomes. Perhaps increasing our intake of estrogen rich foods will helps us all? While the scientific research is underway for reasons for why this is, ‘energetically’ could it be that healthy children are less susceptible to coronavirus because they’re less weighed down by the old 3D life (stresses and cellular memories)? Children and those born since 2000 (in particular) are more conscious than older adults and are more used to operating under the 5D energy field.

Could it also be that those who have maintained a strong consciousness and spiritual connection, living a healthy and compassionate lifestyle are also in a better position to see this virus through? Time will tell.

2020 - 2030 THE ERA OF GREATEST CHANGE
Since late 2019, I’ve been saying that the over the next 10 years, we’ll see greater advances than we have in the past 10,000 years. The next decade is pivotal. Old control systems that have kept people following blindly, are now collapsing at an accelerated rate. They need to be, in order to be replaced by new balanced systems of self-governance and business and social respect that treat all as equal. When our health is affected, we’re ALL on the same level.

GREAT COSMIC EVENT - DECEMBER 2020
In particular, on December 21, 2020 (at solstice) Saturn and Jupiter will both conjoin and look like ONE bright star in our night skies. This last happened in 2000 and will be a TURNING point for the rising of consciousness on Earth. We have 9 months to cleanse and clear in preparation for a NEW day. All is well underway.

This is what I said in late 2019… “Starting in January 2020, building throughout the year and peaking in December (when Saturn and Jupiter will both auspiciously meet in Aquarius) gateways of cosmic consciousness accelerate our affinity with the stars and a remembrance of who we are. Indeed, I feel it will take the globe at least the next FIVE years to move through the vast changes that will occur because of coronavirus, as we re-build on a new, conscious more human and compassionate, heart-based level. Our opportunity is here and YOU are here for this.

Local vs Global - We will source goods and manufacture locally once again, rather than relying on global mass consumerism. This in turn creates more interest locally, which detracts from boredom and atrophy that can occur when everything is available ‘on tap’.

Vibrant communities at home - because of local consumerism, CREATIVITY and talents are more readily recognised as cottage industry - goes mainstream. Think ETSY but in your local suburb, building social cohesion and a sense of belonging and heart-centered sharing. Everyone can be recognised for the efforts that they put in.

Less fast everything (particularly TRAVEL) - Travel industries will totally re-structure. We’ll be MORE interested in our local attractions, rather than seeking the bigger, so-called ‘better’ experiences away from our home environment. We’ll have so much variety and satisfaction locally, that it will fill our needs for adventure. Trips further afield will occur less and when they do, will happen with greater meaning. Shopping, FASHION and BEAUTY will also come back to a local base. Our throwaway (must have it now system) will collapse. The flow-on effect being love, ethics and sustainability coming back to the individual and the planet.

Home grown with heart (food in season) - The transportation of food out of season, anywhere in the world will diminish. We’ll be forced to grow locally and IN SEASON - the natural way. Millions will become home gardeners, even if living in small spaces. The benefit is that we’ll get back in touch with nature and this substantially increases plant based foods in the diet. Local food production outside of cities is already happening with Square Roots farming

Eating out will become less attractive - Eating in with friends and loved ones will become the new trend.

Earth stewardship - Indeed, because we’ll get back in touch with the natural world, we’ll naturally become more protective and caring for our environment. The natural world can re-set because LESS people will be trampling all over it - staying local instead.

Staying at home - will become more attractive. People will be comfortable with their own company and appreciate the time to reflect and give back to their own purpose, meaning and evolution. Rather, than constantly being side-tracked with social activities. When we do go out, it will have meaning - rather than serving as something to do to fill in the time or take away from one’s purpose.

Home based and online business - will grow hugely. It will become mainstream to work from home, whether self-employed or not. We’ll be independent creators and entrepreneurs - something that I know a lot about, as I’ve created and run a successful home-based business since 2003.

Going within and meditation - Meditation will go mainstream (along with spirituality) as it brings a connection to the spiritual dimension, a sense of peace and lowers stress levels. Great health will be something that people seek after coronavirus. Meditation will bring this level of self-knowing and increase mental, emotional and physical health. Education systems will slowly dismantle - the need for organised schooling will diminish, as we learn, stay and give back in our local communities and online.

Organised religion - Has an opportunity to dismantle and re-build. People will be spending more time at home connecting with spirit in their own way. They’ll recognise that they have this ‘spiritual/cosmic’ connection whether in a place of worship or not.

Our global monetary system - Will completely re-structure. As a result of the snowballing amounts of industry sector changes, the way we do business and our economies will need to be re-structured on all levels. This will be of benefit to all.

Government systems - will also restructure. People will step up, have a voice, show interest and no longer give over their power to organisations who are disconnected from the heart. Self-governance is the ultimate destination we’re heading for, which of course requires individual impeccability and personal responsibility.

Connect with your soul each day through meditation and by following the current energy shifts

Eat lighter, plant based foods and stretch and exercise to increase your lung and aerobic capacity in your home each day. It’s amazing what you can achieve in only a small space.

Be a leader and a role model. If you have a strong connection with spirit, then act like it and don't let yourself be dragged into fearful situations. Stay high and encourage us all to do the same with your calm presence. The world NEEDS this now.

Be personally responsible and don’t blame anyone else for anything that you have jurisdiction over.

Look deep within, to find your meaning and purpose.

Are the Brain’s Electromagnetic Fields the Seat of Consciousness?

Some neuroscientists have long considered the brain’s oscillating electromagnetic fields to be interesting but merely “epiphenomenal” features of the brain—like a train whistle on a steam-powered locomotive.

hristof Koch is a neuroscientist distinguished by his rock-solid scientific work and romantic yearning to understand consciousness. He recently closed an essay by wondering: “What is it about the brain, the most complex piece of active matter in the known universe, that turns its activity into the feeling of life itself?” No coincidence with that phrasing—The Feeling of Life Itself is his latest book. He argues that consciousness is produced by the brain but that it’s also more widespread in nature than we might suppose.
His essay described new experimental work, from Stanford neuroscientist Kieran Fox and his colleagues, that explored the effects of electrically stimulating the brain, which revealed an ordering principle. That is, the more removed from sensory input or motor output structures a brain region is, the less likely it is that it contributes to our subjective experience. The “exacting data,” Koch wrote, “provides critical causal, not just observational, evidence to identify the neuronal correlates of consciousness.”
Neuronal correlates of consciousness are the parts of the brain thought to be required for consciousness to occur. The idea that there are only neuronal correlates of consciousness, and that these correlates are the patterns of synaptic firing in specific parts of the brain, is what you might call the conventional view in neuroscience. If we peer deeply into the brain, in other words, what we’ll find is that electrochemical synapse firings—produced by neurons of various types—are responsible for, as Koch puts it, the feeling of life itself, consciousness.

But what if there’s more to the story? What if the electromagnetic fields generated by, but which are not identical to, the neuroanatomy of the brain, are in fact the primary seat of consciousness? The brain’s fields are generated by various physiological processes in the brain, but primarily by trans-membrane currents moving through neurons. These fields are always oscillating and they come in various speeds, clustered around certain bands, from delta on the lower end at 1-2.5 cycles (oscillations) per second (Hertz) up to gamma at 40-120 cycles per second.
Some neuroscientists have long considered the brain’s oscillating electromagnetic fields to be interesting but merely “epiphenomenal” features of the brain—like a train whistle on a steam-powered locomotive. Electromagnetic fields may just be noise that doesn’t affect the workings of the brain. Koch still seems to lean this way.
“While at this early stage of the exploration of the brain it would be foolish to categorically rule out any physical process,” he told me, “as an electrophysiologist I’m less enthused about ascribing specific functions to specific frequency bands, let alone experience. The causal actors between neurons that act at the time scale relevant for consciousness (5-500 milliseconds) are action potentials that cause, in turn, synaptic release of packets of neurotransmitters.” He thinks the extent to which oscillations affect neuronal firing patterns remains an open question. “Consider the sounds the beating heart makes,” he said. “These can be picked up by a stethoscope and can be used to diagnose cardiac conditions. However, there is no evidence that the body exploits these sounds for any function.”
I asked Wolfgang Klimesch, a professor at the University of Salzburg, what he thought about Koch’s view on electromagnetic fields. Klimesch developed the “binary hierarchy brain-body oscillation theory,” which says that consciousness is a function of various levels of resonance both within the brain and between the brain and various other organs, like the heart and stomach.
“With respect to Christof’s view that they are too weak in order to play a role for higher brain functions, he is right if one looks at only one oscillation of the field,” he said. “The critical point is the interplay and sync between oscillations. Even if each oscillator is weak, sync between them can induce a strong and very selective force.”
One of Koch’s collaborators, György Buszaki was fairly clear as far back as 2004 in terms of where he stood on this debate, highlighting various functions that the brain’s electromagnetic fields perform, including linking different areas of the brain together, facilitating synaptic changes, and creating and consolidating memory. So Buzsaki accepts that these fields have functional roles and are not like the sounds of a beating heart or a locomotive whistle.

Pascal Fries, a well-known German neurophysiologist, also supports a functional role for the brain’s fields. In his work, he highlights the role of field synchronization across different parts of the brain in altering patterns of communication, and thus consciousness. He stresses that these dynamics exist over and above the “more rigid anatomical structure” of the brain.
Perhaps the most compelling recent research in favor of the functional role of electromagnetic fields can be found in a 2019 paper from Dominique Durand’s team at Case Western Reserve University. They examined slow electromagnetic field oscillations (less than 1 Hertz) in hippocampus tissue from decapitated mice. The researchers found that slow oscillations could trigger synaptic activity in neurons that were not connected by synapses. If they’re not connected synaptically, they can’t communicate through synaptic firing. Durand’s team wrote, “Results support the hypothesis that endogenous electric fields, previously thought to be too small to trigger neural activity, play a significant role in the self-propagation of slow periodic activity in the hippocampus.”
Durand was as surprised by their results as others were. He said, “It was a jaw-dropping moment, for us and for every scientist we told about this so far.”
Koch is, however, skeptical of these results, given their statistical validity and effect size. He told me: “Of course, at this point, no neuronal mechanisms can be definitely ruled out (including exotic macroscopic quantum effects), as long as they don’t violate the laws of physics.” Like most new scientific findings that challenge consensus views, other teams will have to replicate Durand’s results for others to find them convincing.
It’s far too early to claim that the brain’s electromagnetic fields are the primary seat of consciousness with much confidence. But philosophers and neuroscientists who have proposed electromagnetic field theories of consciousness, of which my own General Resonance Theory is one variety, are building up evidence. The interested reader should check out Douglas Fields’ new book, Electric Brain: How the New Science of Brainwaves Reads Minds, Tells Us How We Learn, and Helps Us Change for the Better, as an introduction to this line of work. It delves into this debate in great detail. “Brainwaves are key to consciousness,” he writes. “But the results thus far are correlations and don’t prove cause and effect.”
No doubt advances in our understanding of the brain’s anatomy, and its fields, will help philosophers and scientists get a better handle on how to ask the right questions for probing the nature of consciousness in all of its many forms.

The most interesting thing that I found in this article is that the human energy fields affected the pendulum thirty to sixty minutes after the subject left as when wind or other factors were no longer in there the pendulum was no longer affected at all. I wonder what all the implications of this is ? When someone lives in a place for decades do they influence that place long after they are gone or as I am sure many believe that it is affected for ever ?
