He’s lucky that he didn’t overdose. I wonder what happened to the soldiers that he was with.

Perhaps his facial injury prevented him from ever getting married. I imagine he lived out the rest of his days as a hero. I’ve often wondered if hunting is good preparation for war. In World War One when Canadians were considered the best almost all of the kids that went were hunters or at least good shots from shooting gophers.
