That's the thing, people have been killed like that, and he got what he deserved.
If I was a Prosecutor the one who shot him would get probation if up to me, and a warning.
He would also get some training on guns.

I believe that he put an abrupt end to this guys sucker punching and saved many future victims from injuries.
