The picture of the bodies with so many arrows sticking out of them is I sight that I hadn’t known about as were most of the details in this video. They ran out of ammunition but the natives could reuse their arrows. The sound of so many guns. This I believe backs the belief that Custer shot himself. He would have known that they would mutilate him alive if he didn’t.

Born in 1632, died 1704, he had a lot to do with our system of government, and people know little about him other than those who read philosophy.
I would say our founding fathers loved his work don't you think.
He was English, and had no idea he was the corner stone of liberty in America.

I have been curious about this John Locke character since I first heard of his over a decade ago. Now I know a bit about him but it was boring. I didn’t watch until now as I must have been working long hours when you posted it and got distracted and forgot all about it though I remember when I first saw it that I wanted to watch or listen to it after work.

He is well worth reading about, or watching the video, he is pretty much the core of our democracy.
I would say the communist want him gone from history as well as the pan socialist running things today.
More should know about him, he was a great philosopher, and humanist.

I didn't find it to be boring, but I do like history, and philosophy unlike most do.

Now Thomas Hobbs another philosopher I do find boring, he is as scatter brained as I am in trying to give a point.
Great info, but hard to follow as mismanaged as his thoughts are.

WOW ! Samuel Whitmore is legendary yet this is likely the first time that I have ever heard of him. What a serious badass. He must have been bursting with testosterone and must have eaten well all his life. Such legendary character. I’m glad that you posted this video. Samuel Whitmore definitely deserves mention on the Founding Of The United States thread. That video was very informative, interesting and enjoyable.

I would say he was quite crazy in the head, and full of himself.
I'm glad he survived.
Just think how many people alive today is related to him.

Not the US then, but became a big part of it, and wouldn't have been nice if we took all of Mexico so today we would not have illegals from Mexico .
Our southern border would be a lot smaller also.
Mexico would be better off since the cartels wouldn't be a big issue, the few rich wouldn't be ripping off everyone.
We are not much better anymore with the internationalist, and super rich here now days though, so much for a representative government right.

I just googled the Alamo, it went down in March 1835. Slavery was in its American heyday, it was 19 years before the civil war ended, the Wild West was mostly quite east still, feral Texas longhorns were everywhere. It’s an interesting era.

Thanks for posting this video. Did you know that my staying in Kansas for a couple of weeks in my epic hitchhiking trip throughout the USA led to a lot of my pro American sentiments ? This was very interesting and informative. It added a lot of details that I didn’t yet know.

I found it to be very well made, and informative.
A few of the forts I never knew of, and I thought I knew them all.

I sit there thinking of the chief laminating about loosing everything, while all along his people took that land from another tribe.
We all are on stolon land, or better phrased conquered, we all have ancestors who where enslaved, or slave owners.
I have sympathy of course, but do know it's all happened over, and over again, and will happen likely forever with the human race.

I think even though this is a movie clip Gary Oaks would have enjoyed this clip.
It's how people all over the earth should consider since all lands where, and are taking land from others.
Look at Russia in Ukraine now, Putin wants that land, and has took some before.
China wants more land, they want the earth, there was no China before men died, and took, and joined other states.
