Pretty sad, they didn't even get a warning.
A band was playing a concert, they where called 17 because that's when they started at 17, all killed.
So many other stories, and families devastated.

I saw the video showing that band getting taken by surprise.

I wondered how many in the audience died when I saw it, the report was just on the band members.
Sad no one got a warning, NOAA spent all that time, and money updating the region for what ?

My guess is the large quakes we have been seeing the last few decades is part of the reason, or a response to the shifting.
Our place in space, and gravitational pull of other solar objects is the cause, the lul in the suns activate also has an effect.

If we are having a pole reversal then things may get far more interesting soon.

Nah, it's not as fast as it seems, but with the airlines, and gps stuff it gets annoying.
Over a thousand years it may take for it to flip we wont need to worry, I don't think.
But if it does happen like say maybe a week, month, or year that may be an issue.

I just read about some quakes on California today, 6.4 I believe one was, and a lot of other quakes.

Now a huge California quake. The news just said that there was a hundred million dollars in damage from that quake too. The big cascade quake could must be ready to go now.

It was a 7.1, pretty substantial, and maybe can affect the world axes minutely.

I would visit if I could, but wouldn't live there.
It would be nice to explore it, and see what the volcano left behind in it's destruction, and what it created.

I have a Canadian friend who has traveled all over the world and he really liked Russia. He rode a motorcycle across Russia. He is a real adventurer.

Hopefully nothing much will happen if the magnetic pole flips. I have seen this headline but have been too busy to read much. It appears Russia is going to own the magnetic pole soon.

I don't think much will happen in our everyday lives, just maybe stuff like aviation, GPS, and shipping might be affected to an extent that can be updated.

This is happeneing right now. My wifes family are among thousands who are being covered in ash and apparently this is just a prelude to what's being predicted.

It don't look like a Pinatubo type of eruption so I hope the family is safe, and no worries.
Just some ask, and not a lot is good for everyone except to breath it, the garden will go wild over it.
I do hope they cover themselves when out not to breath it with something good like a wet towel, or respirator which i doubt many have.

This must be the volcano that a British friend in Hong Kong Facebook messaged me about. His wife is from there.
