So there are now more jaguuars in Arizona. I hope Trumps wall doesn't keep these magnificent cats from returning to their former range.

Someone might have brought it in. Someone spotted one in Florida a few years back also.

If you do some research you will find Lynx comes in colors ranging from light gray to dark tan, and they range about all over the Americas.
Bobcat is one of the Lynx species as well there is the smaller Bobcats. Most I have seen is a dull tan with a gray tint, not seen many though.

I wonder if these lions have been treated all their lives so nicely that they just love people ?

Saw that earlier today, he has to have been raised by humans. He's not that old either.

I would have thought that this climb would have been painful for the paws. http://www.whitewolfpack.com/2016/06/bo ... YJU6Tg&m=1

If you have ever seen the pads of a wild predator such as wolves, bears or big cats, the pads of their feet are like thick pliable leather. So I imagine cactus spines are really no problem.

Tigers isn't prehistoric, and that breathing isn't a good thing for them. Also they can't reproduce.
It reminds me a little of our American lion though which once was in the Americas.

I wonder if that scimitar isn’t related to the clouded leopard ? It’s fangs and build appear similar.

That is really just a guess of the coat they had since they likely don't have a pelt to look at on the paleo animals.
My guess is they looked more like our mountain lions skins.

The clouded leopard is a cat that lives and hunts to a large degree high in the trees so it’s legs aren’t as long proportionally as to lions, tigers, cougars etc... and it’s fangs are about the same size.

It looks to me more related to the mountain lion, and it's legs is long as the lions it looks to me.

It does have clouded leopard fangs still. That American cheetah sure was big and strong.

A lot of animals had those fangs then, Baboons was one of them. Glad I wasn't on the menu.
For sure man would have had a hard time worrying about them, but somehow they made it.

Here is one that gets me, it's a Siberian Musk deer. Vampire teeth on an herbivore .

This is cool. A lioness adopted a leopard cub and treats it like one of her own. Cats apparently compassion and empathy. https://www.majesticanimals.net/lioness ... XfvAhNPf5A
