How do you clean your loo, and how ofter does it need it ?

How do you clean your loo, and how ofter does it need it ?

I try to clean mine once a week just to keep it nice.
The toilet has been an issue for a few months, even with bleach, and cleanser.
Today i tried the bleach, and it wouldn't cut the lime, and calcium buildup, so I too a knife to it.
Well not a good idea, marks up the bowl
I finally said hey the stove top cleaner works well so i took some of it, and a scotch bright pad :) looks like new again. :stars:
I'm very happy now, I hate nasty looking stuff.

How about you, do you clean yours with anything that works ?
My guess you likely have better water so it don't need it so often.

Last year my landlady was upset with me for not cleaning my bathroom, so she snitched to my dad. After that, my dad insisted on coming over to my apartment once every three months or so to inspect my bathroom and kitchen and carpets -- until I got a summer job and didn't have time for his annoying visits.

However, I'm worried that my summer job might be coming to an end. I'm checking my email once a minute, hoping my boss will email me back sometime within the next 15 minutes or so with an answer as to whether or not I'll be working there in September.

Well good luck RDL, hope the job keeps going.
If I was you I would be looking for a more steady reliable place you could work.
if you have a job now it seems to help getting another at the time you have it.

So, do you clean the bathroom regularly now ?

Frosty, try a bottle of that limescale remover. That's what I use, it's made especially for loos and you just squirt it under the rim and leave it over night. Comes off a treat.

I tried that before, it didn't cut it.
This stuff in mine was really hard to get off, took some scrubbing.
It looks like new again now.
Ill be scrubbing it a few times a week I guess so it wont stick like that again.
I'm not sure whats in the water to make it like that, but if I leave it a week or longer this pinkish slime starts building up in it.

Frosty, that's odd the limescale remover didn't shift it, it should and quite easily. Sounds like super power limescale you've got there. Oh gawd, pinkish slime.

Yeah it's nasty, and even the industrial stuff didn't touch it.
The slime, I'm not sure where that came from, only in the last 20 years or so it showed up.
My guess something in the main lines, or something the water company put in.
It's like Jello if you leave it.

It's in there, but the tap runs so much it don't build up like that.
I have taken up the toilet before, and there will be a lot in there, and the pipes.
It's more like Cranberry sauce :teehe:

LOL, they can have the job, I don't like it.
I'm just glad I have a water cleaner for the drinking water.

Once a week is probably about right unless you have someone in the house with an addiction to Mexican food and buffalo wings. Then once a day may not be enough. :panic:

 Oh my, the smell, tell them to go dig a hole someplace.

I think Ill stick to once a week, but I scrubbed it out today some.
I know it's the water, it was hazing up in the sink also, and I rinse it all the time after use.
