Tomorrow is the anniversary of the fall of Byzantium, sad times for Christians, and the world.
i see that church, and remember reading about a viking princess, she saw it, and was so amazed that she wanted to build her own.
Many converted just from seeing that amazing structure, they thought the hands of God must be holding the roof up.

I saw a site once they thought was it, it's not that impressive now though.
You have to think, people see a ruin, and take the stone for houses, and building other stuff. Other empires take the block for their own buildings.
A lot of the Templar castles in the middle east was from ruins such as the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

This is interesting. This City isn't Mayan, Aztec or Incan. They don't even know of this culture yet.

There is several discovered in the last few years, and my guess many more will be.
There is going to be major discoveries is my guess when they can get to excavating them.

This cave is over two kilometers long and over a third of a kilometer deep. I doubt that in a place so cold any really neat creatures will be discovered there though. The pictures are worth taking a glance at.
