does size matter ?
Well the big one is the one I grew up with, the other smaller one came around later. The thing is size matters since you need more fuel for the bigger one to get off the ground from the propellant they used. Today they can use less, and have better tech to do the same job. Both are impressive machines, and thanks to a NAZI rocket scientist we have them.
Gotta wonder about the ethics if keeping a NAZI on the payroll even for the good of country's efforts to achieve good things.

Always amazing to me the scale of things, and the realness of the non importance we are.

i have seen many of those the last few weeks, a lot like Picasso paintings.
I just wish they showed more of a scale of size the swirls where, most are bigger than the earth.
The speed of the storms also are amazing. About 384 miles per hour is some of the recorded wind speeds on the little red spot.

Would be interesting if it would erupt into space being compressed like that.

The idea is flawed, the gravity of the black whole would consume the mirror, or they would need to build it much larger than the star they mentioned.

Fascinating video. I think that we may have a long ways to go until we can harness the power of a black hole. I did learn a number interesting things though.

I think they are crazy if they think the idea is plausible, a star is one thing, and crazy enough, but a black hole even if much smaller has much more mass, and a mirror that size would be the size of a solar system.
There is more better ways to get energy than that much effort, and energy to create such thing.
Theory is good, and maybe sound, but putting it to paper is simple.

I always wondered about the smell, especially since space has to smell like something burned I would think. Maybe after expansion it would dissipate, but maybe not.

LOL, it only looks that way because it's warping time.
It would warp time, and space at that speed even, things would be slow for it, but fast for us to see.
I wish I knew the math for such a thing, it's pretty fascinating.

Pretty cool sight, I wonder f any gamma rays reached us from it, or x-rays.
I wonder how some of those stars have affected life on earth over time, are we better, or worse from it.

I think a lot of this is speculation, but plausible so who really knows.
