Maybe the weather is going to get really wierd soon. Could it actually be that the Mayan December 21 2012 actually did signify something ?

Just a cycle where the earth is trying to correct itself from warming seas.
I have been saying for years that man hasn't caused all this, and I still say that, but we have messed up things especially the waters which we all depend on .
Aquaculture, city, and just trash runoff acidifying the waters, and not to mention the mass killing of animals big, and small from over fishing, and toxic chemicals deliberately dumped there .
From BP, to Russia's nuclear waste, it's just a shame.

Lecturer on new technologies, health and earth science related issues, Dr. Nick Begich, talked about HAARP and the various functions the program performs, including possible weather manipulation. He described HAARP's ultimate function as "taking the energy of the Earth and manipulating the energy so it begins to flow in directions at your demand." This energy, he said, can then be used for "a variety of weapons effects" as well as positive applications such as restoring the environment, missile defense, and disrupting comets or asteroids if they pose a danger to the planet. Begich advocated for more open discussion on the risks and rewards associated with the program rather than keeping it shrouded in secrecy.

Regarding suspicions that HAARP could be used to weaponize or modify weather, Begich acknowledged that it is well within the possible functions of the program. Chillingly, he noted that weather warfare is nearly impossible to prove and allows for plausible deniability. "You could literally create the disaster and then get invited in to mop it up," he observed, "and be the hero rather than the villain." Beyond the weaponization of weather, Begich warned about the overall dangers of manipulating the climate. He explained that although international treaties allow for domestic use of weather modification, such tinkering could have adverse effects on neighboring nations or the entire planet.

it would be nice to have a device like that, you could potentially help the world, but likely destroy it because Government involvement.

With GMO crops destroying the soil and now these droughts are we heading for a famine ? I coincidentally am living on one of the few organic farms holding out against the GMO's and these farmers are clueing me in on a lot of things that I had not learned from articles

I look for a wet start, and then no rain so why isn't people storing water for this, my biggest complaint about man is not looking ahead, and working to solve floods, and drought . .

Well with thatched roofs I can see why the devastation.
We get that here sometimes, and usually once a year a few bad ones near here. In the summer you look out, and it looks like snow on occasion.

This tornado definately qualifies for the wierd weather thread. My bet is that this years tornados will yet again break the records and so will this hurricane season

I think it's usual weather, just a big one that happened . Look up the 1974 super cell we had. It was scary here.
