tesco not paying its suppliers for up to 2 years

This is outrageous. My mum saw this on the news, the UK superstore Tesco who make billions in profits did not pay some of its suppliers for 2 years and then asked for a discount when they did pay. I hate this company, it's so unethical. It's taken away so many livelihoods as well from small butchers, fishmongers, florists, bakers etc. It also uses/used unpaid slave labour supplied from the work programme/dole que. Cheap buggers.

I haven't shopped there in years.

Two years, and they still got supplied, that falls a lot of the supplier, how stupid is it to keep giving them product for nothing.
It seems like a very unethical store, and should be in big trouble.

The 2 year thing is what mum said they said on the tv news. I can't see that being small companies could do that tho. I mean, those companies themselves have to pay for the raw materials, staff and all that. But from what? A loan probably.

Loans is how a lot of small businesses do things, and then expect a bigger payback.
They shouldn't do that, but you would need to on some large projects.
