Dad paid me $10 today for cleaning my apartment

Seeing as this was originally going to be a music thread, I just thought I'd repost this:

Dad made me promise to do two things on Monday:

1. Go to the job search place and ask an employment counsellor to help me with my job search.

2. Apply for low income housing.

If you get a less expensive place you will have more you can spend on other things, things to make life more comfortable.

Also I recently got two windfalls:

1. a $50 increase on my monthly disability cheque.

2. a $50.46 cheque from the dentist's office because insurance paid more than expected regarding the Feb 1st filling and IV sedation.

I haven't told my dad about that last one, even though he's the one that paid for both the filling and the IV sedation.

Saturday at noon and today at 2:30 I was lonely, so I caved and went back to my AA meetings.

But mostly it's been church and Alanon this week.

Yesterday I also paid my rent, sent in my monthly income report to the provincial government, and returned $1.75 in cans and bottles at the grocery store

I have my niece over yesterday, and we had a good time, shes a smart little critter.

And yesterday I gave my transit DayPass to a homeless mentally ill drug addict that needed it... I certainly wasn't going to give him change, he would have spent that on drugs...

My niece turned two in December, yesterday she was digging with a shovel, and trying to fix my fountain I have turned off right now shes pretty smart for a two year old.

Monday -- finally went to the job search place and asked to speak to an employment counsellor about helping me look for a job, and they referred me to the organisation that helped me the last time around, so help is on its way

Tuesday -- finally applied for that low-income housing, although it took $7.50 worth of bus fare, two trips to the federal government computers to look up stuff, two trips to UPS to copy stuff, and mailing a letter that cost $1.80 instead of $1 because it was overweight... but it's done

Wednesday -- had a chat with my previous employer about why he should take me back, lest I end up with a job I really don't like or housing that I really don't like.
