Sounds like the grain elevator my Grandfather worked at (Grainworkers Union), except there if you complained about anyone being drunk while on duty, the complainer would most likely get reassigned to some undesirable job to teach him a lesson!

Those boys there were old school! Not sure if it still runs that way today...

I kind of made myself indispensable, I knew over 40 jobs, and there was nobody else who could come close to me.
Also they knew I was right, and others where complaining, but I'm the only one who would act.

It's funny I would occasionally mess up on a truck, and the boss would let me know but wouldn't do anything.
Others would mess up, and tell him I did it even when i was off work that day.

I worked hard, and was there all the time, on time, and never late, also I had more overtime than most because I was there, and took work on my off hours when others wouldn't.
My boss tried hard to keep me at that plant when i was moved to the Truck plant, his manager even tried, but it was already set, and files transferred.
