I had one like that years back, and after grabbing ti a few times to use it ripped it apart, and tossed it in the trash.
It was in a collection of antique tapes my dad had which was one short after that.

I swear a tape like that yellow one when they measured me for a bridesmaid gown for my sister's wedding. As the seamstress was measuring me, I kept saying those numbers are wrong; they're too big. I had just lost a significant amount of weight expressly for the wedding and I was really upset after they measured me.

And guess what...when I went back for the second fitting the gown was TOO FUCKING BIG! The seamstress just looked at me and went..."Oops"..

They had to take like 4" out of the back of the damn thing and start over...

I'm guessing there where a lot of bad tapes out in the 50s-60s that just wasn't right.
My dad had that collection of 6 tapes in the set, and the one wasn't right, the set was from gas stations that gave them away as a promotion.
