Right now he is going to take the national petroleum reserve, and use it to drive some of the price down on fuel.
The stupid part of that people wont see, or think about is the world crises going on, and threats of war breaking out.
You do not drain that reserve unless things are more stable.
You should consider opening the oil fields, and building the pipeline they stupidly cut off.
