all this gun play in te metro Vancouver area, has police asking the gangs to stop it.
Police worry about collateral damage, much like what happened in Kamloops a few months ago.

I don't concern myself, with other peoples thoughts. They can think what they want, and grind it around in their head. I always get a good nights rest. They however, are exhausted, thinking about me. My trade mark,

Sad that stuff is going on RG, kind of like here with gangs lately, and they have killed innocent people.

"Former Egyptian president sentenced to life in prison
Hosni Mubarak was convicted him of complicity in the killing of protesters last year
News1130 Staff/The Canadian Press Jun 02, 2012 12:03:07 PM
Egypt's ex-President Hosni Mubarak has been sentenced to life in prison.
A court convicted him on charges of complicity in the killing of protesters during last year's uprising that forced him from power.
Scuffles broke out in the Cairo courtroom after the verdicts were announced. Egyptian security says the 84-year-old resisted leaving the helicopter that flew him to a prison hospital for the first time after the court sentenced him.
Mubarak was reportedly tearful as he pleaded to be taken back to the military hospital where he has been staying since his trial began on August. 3. It took his escorts 30 minutes to persuade him to leave the aircraft and enter the prison's hospital.
This is the first time Mubarak will be held in a prison hospital since he was detained.
Mubarak's two sons, Gamal and Alaa, were acquitted on corruption charges.
He is the first Arab leader to be tried by his own people in the country.
The news of Mubarak's sentencing is being welcomed by a professor at UBC.
Younes Alila is originally from Tunisia, one of Egypt's North African neighbours. He says for the people from North Africa, today's newd is not all good, but it represents a step forward.
"The fear that has been installed in people for decades is not there anymore. That's the most critical part of it -- people are not feeling those dictatorships anymore," feels Alila, adding the Egyptian people are ready to voice their opinions.
"When they are not happy with an outcome of whatever it is, including this prosecution, everybody now is back to Tahrir Square and there is no return whatsoever to dictatorship."
He believes Egyptians are generally pleased to see Mubarak and his Interior Minister convicted, but are demonstrating in the streets again over the corruption charges being dropped against his sons"

Websites go dark in protest of Bill C-38
13,000 environmental groups are leading the online protest
News1130 Staff/The Canadian Press Jun 04, 2012 07:24:26 AM
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Thousands of websites are dark today in protest of the federal government's Bill C-38, the federal government's budget implementation bill. Many of the sites are from environmental groups, who believe the bill strips down Canada's environmental regulations and protections. Biologist Carin Bondar thinks the protest will be quite effective, since many of the sites get thousands of hits every hour. (...)
"The federal government is looking to crack down on environmental groups in terms of what they're working on and their funding rather than simply looking at the work that they are doing and results that they're get." The Harper cabinet is hoping to get ahead of the cyber protest by putting on a Canada-wide full-court press to persuade voters that less is more in the area of environmental protection. Ten cabinet ministers are fanning out across the country today from St. John's to Surrey, selling basically the same theme -- that the government's re-branded resource development plan will create jobs and prosperity without devastating the environment.
The initiative is led by Natural Resources Minister Joe Oliver, who opened the campaign with a morning speech in Gatineau, Quebec. He says the goal is to promote investment, business confidence and jobs while strengthening environmental standards. Under the changes, Ottawa will limit the number, duration and scope of environmental reviews on major resource projects, such as the Northern Gateway pipeline that would take Alberta oil to the BC coast.

Nothing like a sound, reasonable policy (and not short-sighted at all!).
If you have a problem with reports disproving your "baseless wishes" -> get rid of founding for who writes those reports and problem is solved!
See.. no more "bad reports", so logically we're right - "Mission Accomplished!"

Breivik judge caught playing solitaire in court
One of the five judges in the case of Anders Behring Breivik, the mass killer on trial in Norway, has been caught on camera playing solitaire in court. In a picture published in Norwegian media, one of the three lay judges, Ernst Henning Eielsen, can be seen playing the card game on his computer. Also on Monday, Breivik has told the court he was slighted by Muslims on several occasions during his childhood.
He carried out two deadly attacks in Norway last summer, killing 77 people. Mr Eielsen has not denied playing a game of cards, a court spokeswoman told the AFP news agency. "The judges are attentively following what is being said and what is being presented to the court," Irene Ramm told AFP. "There are different ways of staying focused," she added.
Yet, the Law still require to address him as: Honorable Judge Ernst Henning Eielsen!

Tides funded organizations have a lot of influence over public debate. We can argue whether they should or not. However, there is no arguing they are NOT charities.Blue Frost wrote:that's just dirty Xiao Jie, and should be publicized to let people know.
