Political correctness is okay with the horrendous abuses of the French, Spanish and Portuguese colonists. Are they exploiting the natives like they did in Indochina ? If they’re rising up like this there must be some stories to be told.

The Spanish was awful to a lot of countries, today they are mostly out of business. Germany did some nasty stuff also along with the Brits, and a few others.
Gotta love when they all traded in shrunken heads.

Spain did some quite terrilbe things in south america. could call it the ancient version of murdering history. not just melted down all the aztec and inca gold jewelry was it. destroyed all books written in there local languages. like yes murdered history. erased

both to aztecs and incas. almost exactly the same bad things.

and now onto south pacific what i really wanted to comment on. as hope to get there one day. maybe i should start a go fund me to get me there for good. as i aint no tourist and no have no desire to hang out with tourists or do tourists things but wish to learn tahitian and get involved in there closed society oh and surf world and live forever more somewhere in french polynesia

actually the truth of it tahiti has a not so nice past

this guy is wrong about the costs of 2 litre of pepsi $28 usd unless hes quoting from the 5 star hotels that are owned by major corporations that oh charge on bora bora $1000 usd a nite for there bunglawos. but i have seen actually youtube videos of prices in supermarkets yes expensive but not out of this world prices as he claims at least out from major corporations extreme tourist trap

but his take on the bounty was interesting. i didnt know the whole purpose of the bounty even going to tahiti was not so great. but as england also had jamaica at the time needed some cheap food to feed there slaves there and we know there is cheap breadfruit trees there to bring them to jamaica. well see his version of the story you problably know must already but there were some more points i didnt know if he is to be believed

he starts the tale of the bountry at about 40 minutes in. i like the map so you can see the distances covered

point being all this romantic view of the past settlers not at all a bunch of aholes. just like today the people that run this and that

special bonus as this is sort of the theme about westerners colonizing the far off places and just disgrace

see this music video from rammstein auslander too much here about all the wrong that even germans did in there old african coloines. youd have translate it all there is quite abit here. and quite amazing song/video. actually all rammstein videos quite amazing as have a very famous german director that does them. this is a 11 out of 10 too much effort here to get as close to as got as it gets. found the lyrics version so will help you understand what they are acatully saying

Wait was that Lizzo dancing half naked :woot: :woot: :woot:  Odi will be excited.
Alright something I always thought wrong, and really racist. native breast are alright to see, national Geographic had them in those when i was a kid, but you can't see anyone else boobs like White girls, or even black girls in the city.
That was an awful video by the way  but did make me laugh a bit.

In the first video I was surprised that I didn’t know just how far away Tahiti is. I was under the impression that Tahiti was not too far from New Guinea. The prices are insane. I imagine that they must grow a lot of their food and catch a lot from the sea. The second video I just glanced at. I’ll have to watch it later when I have time.

It's a little over 9000 miles from my house, I guess that would be a long trip for me.
Maybe 11-12 hours by air if they didn't stop much.

I finally watched the second video. The message is clear, lots of boobies and sex but nobody wanted to stay too long, learn the language or culture but did take off with the goods.

Maybe unrelated, maybe not, but I like this band, they did a lot of world fusion music.
They even gave money for the protection of some Pygmy tribes if I remember right.
