People are ridiculously huge now.

Foreign meat is pumped with so many steroids that you can fail a drug test just by eating it

(NaturalNews) According to a recent report by CBS New York, NFL player Duane Brown managed to have a suspension overturned by proving that he had eaten contaminated meat while in Mexico. Brown still had his receipts from various eateries in the country, and these were provided as evidence of why the player tested positive for clenbuterol.

Brown plays for the Houston Texans, and the NFL Players Association was fortunately able to prove to the league that the clenbuterol in his system came from consuming too much meat during his trip – around 10 burgers and two steaks. The league has also issued a warning to all players that consuming too much meat in countries such as China and Mexico could trigger a failed drug test.

Brown was facing a 10-game suspension, and the league have stated that, "Players are warned to be aware of this issue when traveling to Mexico and China. Please take caution if you decide to consume meat, and understand that you do so at your own risk."

Clenbuterol
Clenbuterol is a powerful steroid that is used to treat breathing disorders such as asthma, according to Steroid. Whilst it is successfully used to treat the condition in various countries worldwide, the drug has never been approved by the U.S. FDA, and so is not prescribed in the U.S. Aside from its use to treat breathing problems, clenbuterol is also used for fat loss and commonly (illegally) used by bodybuilders to create lean muscles.

In countries like China and Mexico, clenbuterol is given to animals to produce lean meat. In fact, until 1991, it was used illegally in the U.S. to gain competitive advantage in some show animals such as calves, lambs and pigs, as described by the Food Safety and Inspection Service. The illegal use of the drug was thought to be a public health concern if these animals were slaughtered for human food, as residues of the steroid remain in the muscle tissue.

In Europe, there have been several outbreaks of illnesses related to ingesting meat laced with clenbuterol, and the steroid can affect lung and heart function in people who have been exposed to contaminated meat. And this isn't the first time that athletes have been affected by consuming meat containing clenbuterol.

According to Drovers, in 2011, more than 2,000 athletes from at least 181 countries that were due to compete in the 14th FINA World Aquatics Championships in Shanghai were avoiding eating Chinese beef or pork due to the continued problem of clenbuterol use in livestock. This happened in spite of the fact that China had already outlawed the drug and its usage in livestock in 2002. The illegal use of the drug continues to be a huge problem.

Poisoned meat
While clenbuterol has been banned for use in livestock in the U.S., the meat we consume on a daily basis – unless organically sourced – is pumped full of a cocktail of harmful drugs. Drugs similar to the withdrawn arsenical drug "roxarsone" are quietly used in both chicken and turkey meat, exposing the public to elevated levels of inorganic arsenic. Pumping livestock full of drugs makes meat cheaper to produce.

Meanwhile, according to the Institute for Natural Healing, cows, chickens and other livestock are regularly dosed with antibiotics – which can be passed along to humans who consume the meat. This poses a huge public health risk, making a large proportion of the world's population extremely susceptible to superbugs. Superbugs are resistant to antibiotics, and Big Pharma is struggling to find new drugs that can combat the spread of these deadly antibiotic-resistant bacteria. The only way to eat meat and stay safe is to buy organic.

yeah it's sick, and from what I have read it's mostly malnutrition. Yeah they eat a lot of food, but it's not food that our body needs, and it don't know what to do with the junk so it stores it.
Along with people not getting exercise anymore people are super sized.

I already cringe at the idea of drinking a soda pop. Here are 22 more reasons to cringe.

22 Ways Drinking Soda Will Shorten Your Life

Numerous studies have shown the negative health effects of drinking soda on your waistline and your teeth. Drinking soda however, has far more serious health risks than many of us may realize.

According to Euromonitor, the average person in the United States consumes more than 126 grams of sugar per day. That’s equal to 25.2 teaspoons, or the equivalent of drinking a little over three 12 ounce colas.

Numerous studies have shown the negative health effects of drinking soda on your waistline and your teeth. Drinking soda however, has far more health risks than many of us may realize. Regular consumption of sugary drinks is linked to numerous health problems including diabetes, heart disease, asthma, COPD and obesity.

So what are the risks and how much soda is too much? Let’s take a look:

1. Soda can cause a decline in kidney function. In an 11-year-long Harvard Medical School study, including 3,318 women, researchers found that diet cola is linked with a two-fold increased risk for kidney decline.

2. Soda increases diabetes risk. High levels of sugar in soda places a lot of stress on your pancreas, potentially leaving it unable to keep up with the body’s need for insulin. Drinking one or two sugary drinks per day increases your risk for type 2 diabetes by 25%.

3. Soda cans are lined with BPA. Soda cans are coated with the endocrine disruptor bisphenol A (BPA), which has been linked to everything from heart disease to obesity to reproductive problems.

4. Soda dehydrates you. Caffeine is a diuretic. Diuretics promote the production of urine, causing you to urinate more frequently. When the body’s cells are dehydrated they have difficulty absorbing nutrients, and it also makes it more difficult for the body to eliminate waste.

5. Caramel coloring in soda is linked to cancer. The artificial brown coloring in colas is a chemical process, it is not made from caramelized sugar. It is made by reacting sugars with ammonia and sulfites under high pressure and temperatures. These chemical reactions result in the formation of 2-methylimidazole (2-MI) and 4 methylimidazole (4-MI), which in government-conducted studies caused lung, liver, or thyroid cancer or leukemia in laboratory mice and rats.

6. Caramel coloring in soda is linked to vascular issues. Dr. Nehal N. Mehta, director of Inflammatory Risk Cardiology at the University of Pennsylvania states that there is a link between vascular problems and caramel-containing products.

7. Soda is high in calories. A 20 ounce can of Coca Cola contains 17 teaspoons of sugar and 240 calories…empty calories devoid of any nutritional value. It would take the average adult over one hour of walking to burn off the 240 calories in a 20-ounce soda.

8. Caffeine in soda blocks the absorption of magnesium. According to Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D. Magnesium is essential for more than 325 enzyme reactions in the body. Magnesium also plays a role in your body’s detoxification processes and therefore is important for minimizing damage from environmental chemicals, heavy metals, and other toxins.

9. Soda increases obesity risk in children. Each additional soda or other sugary drink consumed per day increases the likelihood of a child becoming obese by about 60%. Sugary drinks are connected to other health problems as well.

10. Soda increases heart disease in men. Each soda consumed per day increases the risk of heart disease by 20% in men.

11. Acid in soda wears away dental enamel. Lab testing on soda acidity shows that the amount of acid in soda is enough to wear away dental enamel. pH levels in soda can be as low as 2.5, as a frame of reference battery acid has a pH of 1, water has a pH of 7.0.

12. Soda contains high amounts of sugar. The average 20-ounce can of Coca Cola has the equivalent of 17 teaspoons of sugar, it’s not hard to see that soda can be bad for your teeth and your overall health.

13. Soda contains artificial sweeteners. While many people opt for artificial sugar to lower caloric intake the tradeoff for your health isn’t so sweet. Artificial sugars are linked to numerous illness and diseases including cancer.

14. Soda depletes your mineral levels. Sodas that contain phosphoric acid removes much needed calcium from your bones. After studying several thousand men and woman, researchers at Tufts University, found that women who drank 3 or more cola based sodas a day, had almost 4% lower bone mineral density in their hips, even though researchers controlled their calcium and vitamin D intake.

15. Drinking soda changes your metabolism. Dr. Hans-Peter Kubis, the director of the Health Exercise and Rehabilitation group at Bangor University in England, has found that drinking soda on a regular basis can actually change the metabolism in the human body. Participants drank 140 grams of sugar every day for four weeks (that’s less than two 20 ounce cans of Coke). The results: their metabolism changed after the four weeks, making it more difficult for them to burn fat and lose weight.

16. Drinking more than one soda daily, increases your risk for heart disease and metabolic syndrome. According to Ravi Dhingra, M.D., lead author of the study and an instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School states “If you are drinking one or more soft drinks a day, you may be increasing your risk of developing metabolic risk factors for heart disease.” The Framingham study included nearly 9,000 individuals, over a four year period. Researchers found that individuals consuming one or more sodas a day had a 48 % increased risk of metabolic syndrome compared to those consuming less than one soft drink daily.

17. Diet soda does not help you lose weight. A University of Texas Health Science Center study found that the more diet sodas a person drank, the greater their risk of becoming overweight. Consuming two or more cans a day increased waistlines by 500% greater than those who do not consume diet soda.

18. Diet sodas contain mold inhibitors. They go by the names sodium benzoate or potassium benzoate, and they’re used in nearly all diet sodas. “These chemicals have the ability to cause severe damage to DNA in the mitochondria to the point that they totally inactivate it – they knock it out altogether,” Peter Piper, a professor of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the University of Sheffield in the U.K., told a British newspaper. The preservative has also been linked to hives, asthma, and other allergic conditions, according to the Center for Science in the Public Interest.

Note: Some companies have phased out sodium benzoate. Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi have replaced it with another preservative, potassium benzoate. Both sodium and potassium benzoate were classified by the Food Commission in the UK as mild irritants to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.

19. Sodas containing ascorbic acid and potassium benzoate can form benzene, a known carcinogen. Benzene can form in beverages and foods that contain both ascorbic acid and potassium benzoate. According to the FDA, when benzoate is exposed to light and heat in the presence of vitamin C, it can be converted into benzene. According to the American Cancer Society, benzene is considered a carcinogen

20. Daily sodas and other sugar sweetened drinks are linked to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The 2,634 individuals in the study completed a CT scan to measure the amount of fat in the liver. They saw a higher prevalence of NAFLD among people who reported drinking more than one sugar-sweetened drink per day compared to people who said they drank no sugar-sweetened beverages.

21. Some sodas contain flame retardant. Brominated vegetable oil (BVO) is added to many citrus based sodas and sports drinks to prevent the drinks from separating. What’s the concern? BVO is patented by chemical companies as a flame retardant. It is also banned in over 100 countries, but it is still used in the U.S. Learn more here.

22. Soda is linked to Asthma. A study done in South Australis of 16,907 participants aged 16 years and older, showed high levels of soda consumption were positively associated with asthma and COPD.

I watched a documentary some years ago on free radicals and it explained how the larger one is the more free radicals attacking the brain there are. I strongly suspect that this is the cause possibly of most of this brain aging.

From middle-age, the brains of obese individuals display differences in white matter similar to those in lean individuals ten years their senior, according to new research led by the University of Cambridge. White matter is the tissue that connects areas of the brain and allows for information to be communicated between regions.

Our brains naturally shrink with age, but scientists are increasingly recognizing that obesity - already linked to conditions such as diabetes, cancer and heart disease - may also affect the onset and progression of brain ageing; however, direct studies to support this link are lacking.

In a cross-sectional study - in other words, a study that looks at data from individuals at one point in time - researchers looked at the impact of obesity on brain structure across the adult lifespan to investigate whether obesity was associated with brain changes characteristic of ageing. The team studied data from 473 individuals between the ages of 20 and 87, recruited by the Cambridge Centre for Aging and Neuroscience. The results are published in the journal Neurobiology of Aging.

The researchers divided the data into two categories based on weight: lean and overweight. They found striking differences in the volume of white matter in the brains of overweight individuals compared with those of their leaner counterparts. Overweight individuals had a widespread reduction in white matter compared to lean people.

The team then calculated how white matter volume related to age across the two groups. They discovered that an overweight person at, say, 50 years old had a comparable white matter volume to a lean person aged 60 years, implying a difference in brain age of 10 years.

Strikingly, however, the researchers only observed these differences from middle-age onwards, suggesting that our brains may be particularly vulnerable during this period of ageing.

"As our brains age, they naturally shrink in size, but it isn't clear why people who are overweight have a greater reduction in the amount of white matter," says first author Dr Lisa Ronan from the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge, "We can only speculate on whether obesity might in some way cause these changes or whether obesity is a consequence of brain changes."

Senior author Professor Paul Fletcher, from the Department of Psychiatry, adds: "We're living in an ageing population, with increasing levels of obesity, so it's essential that we establish how these two factors might interact, since the consequences for health are potentially serious.

"The fact that we only saw these differences from middle-age onwards raises the possibility that we may be particularly vulnerable at this age. It will also be important to find out whether these changes could be reversible with weight loss, which may well be the case."

Despite the clear differences in the volume of white matter between lean and overweight individuals, the researchers found no connection between being overweight or obese and an individual's cognitive abilities, as measured using a standard test similar to an IQ test.

The research was supported by the Bernard Wolfe Health Neuroscience Fund, the Wellcome Trust and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.

The brain is mostly fat, and water anyhow, it really needs no more fat does it. GMOs, and other crops isn't helping, soy for one, canola another, it's all bad for the brain.
Also chemicals crossing the blood brain barrier from vaccines, it's doing a lot of damage to kids not developed yet.

Part of the problem I have heard is that GMO foods don't have the nutrition that organic foods have thus your body keeps craving more foods in order to try and receive the nutrients that it needs and craves. Hollywood is an arm of American PROPAGANDA AND PEOPLE OVERSEAS BELIEVE THAT north American people are beautiful and then they get here and find out that there are hordes of porkies.

America's Obesity Epidemic: At Least 1 Out Of Every 5 People Is Obese

The United States officially has an obesity crisis. According to a brand new report that was just released by the Trust for America's Health, at least one out of every five people meet the clinical definition for obesity in all 50 states. But of course in some states things are far worse than that.

More than 35 percent of all adults are obese in four states, and the obesity rate is between 30 and 35 percent in 21 other states. And it is important to keep in mind that just needing to lose weight does not mean that you are obese. According to the CDC, you have got to have a body mass index of at least 30.0 to meet the clinical definition for obesity.

Each year, the American people spend 60 billion dollars on weight loss programs and products. That breaks down to about 188 dollars for every man, woman and child in the country. We are a nation that is absolutely obsessed with losing weight, and yet obesity levels are hovering near all-time record highs.

But some parts of the U.S. are definitely doing better than others. The following is an excerpt that comes directly from the new report...

In 2015, Louisiana has the highest adult obesity rate at 36.2 percent and Colorado has the lowest at 20.2 percent. While rates remained steady for most states, they are still high across the board. The 13th annual report found that rates of obesity now exceed 35 percent in four states, are at or above 30 percent in 25 states and are above 20 percent in all states. In 1991, no state had a rate above 20 percent.

Did you catch that last part?

I put it in bold for a reason. To me, it is absolutely incredible that no state in the entire country had an obesity rate of more than 20 percent just 25 years ago.

How is that possible?

How could obesity explode to such a dramatic level in just a couple of decades?

Well, a lot of it has to do with what we eat and drink, and I will have some comments about that below. But first, let's take a look at some more statistics from this new report. It turns out that there seems to be a significant link between obesity and poverty...

- 9 of the 11 states with the highest obesity rates are in the South and 22 of the 25 states with the highest rates of obesity are in the South and Midwest.

- 10 of the 12 states with the highest rates of diabetes are in the South.

- American Indian/Alaska Natives have an adult obesity rate of 42.3 percent.

- Adult obesity rates are at or above 40 percent for Blacks in 14 states.

- Adult obesity rates are at or above 30 percent in: 40 states and Washington, D.C. for Blacks; 29 states for Latinos; and 16 states for Whites.

The report also noted that it has been estimated that our obesity epidemic costs the United States somewhere between 147 billion dollars and 210 billion dollars every single year.

That is an enormous amount of money, and if we were all a bit healthier it would benefit our society tremendously.

Sadly, as a society we have fallen into some very bad habits. For example, the new report also found that the number of high school students that play video games for at least 3 hours per day "has increased more than 88 percent since 2003 (from 22.1 to 41.7 percent)".

When I was in high school, almost all of the kids couldn't wait to get outside and play after school. But these days most playgrounds are parks are eerily silent most of the time, and even if kids wanted to go use them the truth is that many of them aren't very safe.

In the old days, parents could let their kids go outside and play freely without having to worry about it. But in 2016, many of our communities are infested by addicts, gangs, sex predators, etc.

Nutritional focus on fast food often hones in on calories, but antibiotics in fast food shouldn’t be ignored, either. A recent report released by the Center for Food Safety rates the top 25 American restaurant chains on antibiotics use in meat products. The results suggest we should definitely avoid some major chains at all costs.

And here’s a sneak peek at the Chain Reaction II report: a whopping 16 out of 25 companies scored an “F” rating. This is the second year of this eye-opening report, and it’s definitely worth examining before you choose your next quick meal. Antibiotic resistance is a serious, global health problem primarily caused by repeatedly feeding antibiotics to farm animals, which increases the formation of hard-to-treat, drug-resistant bacteria.

In the United States alone, drug-resistant superbugs infect more than 2 million people and kill at least 23,000 each year.

Tuberculosis, gonorrhea and pneumonia are all diseases that can now survive antibiotic treatment. You might already be aware of how stopping superbugs has grown into a global health crisis. But did you know that fast food chains are a big part of the problem? More specifically, the meat that these fast food chains are selling is the concern. Why? Because 80 percent of all antibiotics sold in the U.S. are actually marketed to animals, not sick people.

Anything you can personally do to avoid unnecessary antibiotic exposure will go such a long way for your health. That’s exactly why I want to make sure the findings of this recent report reach you.

Antibiotics in Fast Food: The Rankings

The following Center for Food Safety grades show how each chain scored on a number of criteria. These include categories focusing on antibiotic use like “good policy across all meats,” “availability of meat produced without routine antibiotics” and “transparency:”

Panera Bread: A

1 of 9 (out of 25) companies to adopt publicly available policies that phase out routine antibiotics use in some or all of their meat and poultry supply.

1 of only 3 chains to receive top points for having antibiotics use policies that apply to all types of meat they serve with time-bound commitments for implementation.

The only restaurant chain (along with Chipotle) to offer an array of meat options produced without the routine use of antibiotics, including pork and beef.

As of Fall 2016, 91 percent of all the meat and poultry it serves is raised without antibiotics.

The remaining 9 percent is chicken, turkey, pork and beef bought as part of secondary food products like soups, soufflés and salami.

Received top transparency points for fully responding to the survey, works with third-party auditors to evaluate supply chain practices covered by its policies and has audit standards that are publicly available (through the USDA’s Process Verified Program website, in most cases).

Chipotle Mexican Grill: A

1 of only 3 chains to receive top points for having antibiotics use policies that apply to all the types of meat they serve with time-bound commitments for implementation.

Only restaurant chain (along with Panera) to offer an array of meat options produced without the routine use of antibiotics, including pork and beef.

Only received partial credit on auditing because they still rely on a combination of internal and third-party audits.

SUBWAY: B publicly available policies that phase out routine antibiotics use in some or all of their meat and poultry supply.

1 of only 3 chains to receive top points for having antibiotics use policies that apply to all the types of meat they serve with time-bound commitments for implementation.

Has a 10-year timeline (through 2025) to complete its conversion to pork and beef raised without antibiotics.

Received top transparency points for fully responding to the survey, works with third-party auditors to evaluate supply chain practices covered by its policies and has audit standards that are publicly available (through the USDA’s Process Verified Program website, in most cases).

Chick-fil-A: B

1 of 9 (out of 25) companies to adopt publicly available policies that phase out routine antibiotics use in some or all of their meat and poultry supply.

Received top transparency points for fully responding to the survey, works with third-party auditors to evaluate supply chain practices covered by its policies (chicken, in all cases), and has audit standards that are publicly available (through the USDA’s Process Verified Program website, in most cases).

They report that as of the 2nd quarter of 2016, it had converted “more than 23 percent” of its chicken supply to chicken raised entirely without antibiotics.

McDonald’s: C+

1 of 9 (out of 25) companies to adopt publicly available policies that phase out routine antibiotics use in some or all of their meat and poultry supply.

Received a top score for having “good” policy content.

But in general, its policies only apply to chicken and still allow routine antibiotics use for “disease prevention” in the production of pork and beef served in their restaurants.

Received top transparency points for fully responding to the survey, work with third-party auditors to evaluate supply chain practices covered by its policies (chicken, in all cases), and has audit standards that are publicly available (through the USDA’s Process Verified Program website, in most cases).

Even more ridiculous is the grade "C" earned by Taco Hell. Who gives a fuck if they don't use meat with antibiotics when their food isn't even fit to feed dumpster crabs. :yuk:

Jesus Christ, I'd rather be force fed a bucket of sand than eat anything coming out of Taco Bell

according to the above information on sofa. Caffeine dehydrated the body and promotes urination. When I have coffee I have to pee every 20mins. according to the above information caffeine also blocks the absorption of magnesium. I thought a cup of coffee have much more caffeine than a can of soda and I'm having a cup of coffee right now.

I don't drink coffee, or sodas :)
Sodas with the sugar alone is likely worse than coffee for a person.
