Preppers, crazy, or logical ?

I'm thinking of getting a stockpile started of some food, and water storage just in case of power outage, snow storm, or anything else .
Maybe a month worth of stuff.
Really today we are only ready for maybe a week, or two.

What do you think ?

I have some friends also that have guns, and one knows how to cook really good
He has all the fishing equipment you could ever need also

So are you stockpiling green preppers?, red preppers? How about chili preppers?

I have usually enough green or red peppers for 6 months stored up by winter
We use them all the time, and give some away. I did grow hot peppers for my brother, and other people, but they got literally burned out on them.
As for Preppers they may be green if they are dead, and red if bleeding

I think it's a good idea to have enough supplies to last at least a week if not more. That's what they keep saying to us up here because of the earthquakes.

I would think that with the risk of tornadoes there, you should definitely be prepared to go into survival mode for a while.

I like a week or two of stuff on hand, but need a place for it. Maybe Ill lok into some of those freeze dried food containers, some are suppose to be really tasty.

That freeze dried food is fairly expensive, isn't it?
I have a lot of packaged foods that just needs hot water to cook. I have a list of when it all expires and when it's 2 months away from expiring, I give it to the food bank and buy a new one. This stuff tastes absolutely horrible and should only be eaten in an emergency!

Yeah the stuff is expensive, but last a really long time. I think the cost though would be worth it if it's ever needed.

I would be no where near it, if I needed it.

Every time I watch The Walking Dead, I think that probably my supplies will be used to feed someone who breaks into my empty house because I'll have been stranded elsewhere when a huge earthquake hits.
