Hermits

I was debating wether this belongs on Gary Oaks Corner. I believe that there have always been hermits living out in the woods in far away places like the North West Territories. The Mad Trapper is a famous one. I was told of one who left in the thirties to the Fraser Canyon panning for gold and this one person knew him in the 80's when he was in his 70's. I saw one in Dawson City and he was cring that he spends his life looking for gold. He lived out in the forest somewhere and lived off of what he could pan. There must be some in northern BC.

I'm sure there are, and whole families out there. I know there was some up where my family was from, they never came out of the wild.
Might be part of that Big Foot sighting stuff in some places.

More people would go hermit to get away from this existence if they could I reckon. Alright until you get older or health troubles.

He did really well out there, and very healthy looking for being out there, gotta wonder what he lived on when they said sugars in the fall months.

I wonder how many other ones are out there. I bet that many live out their lives in the forest and end their lives without anybody knowing that they existed.

When I was 17 I almost did that, I about had it, and fed up with family stuff at the time.
Dealing with in laws living here was not working, and they where sorry freeloaders that almost had me in prison a few times.
I even left for a few days sleeping in a striped car in a field.

Sorry, not all here lately, my skull is vacant with just echos of the past bouncing around.

Only the first four minutes of this video is about this hermit. I imagine that there may very well have been many others like this one. Apparently he is doing quite well s as ll by himself in the Amazon jungle. He’s the last person on earth to know his tribal ways. That tribe’s history will be lost when he finally passes. Apparently he’s in his fifties now.

I suspect that there have been many hermits like him over the many thousands of years years all lost to history. There was one in I believe the 1030’s in California who decided to enter the modern world and came out of the wilderness. He too was the last of his tribe.

Been a lot of stories around, the wild man of the woods, Borneo, mountain, and so on.
i thought about it ones myself, just so I could get some peace.

Now this hermit doesn’t seem antisocial at all. He just likes living off grid in the woods.

Reminds me of the Australian man who kills cats, and makes things out of them.

I wonder if he has family that looks in on him once in a while.
