Is there any Heroes for kids to look up too today?

Post: # 57252Unread post Blue Frost »

Just thinking when I was a kid we had a lot of roll models, and heroes to look up at.
Good morals on a lot of TV shows, Astronauts, neighbors, parents.
Is there anyone for kids today ?

I don't think any human being should be put on a pedestal, most of all not athletes, movie stars, singers, etc. People who have performed good deeds without any ulterior motives can be admired, however.

I think people need someone to look up at, gives them a better path to be on.
A parent is suppose to be there for the kid to learn from, and immolate to an extent.
I'm my little guys hero, it's hard on me though to be on that level sometimes.
I would hate to disappoint him.

I can't speak for all kids, but I know that my kids have never looked up to actors, singers or athletes. They are fans of a few, but they're pretty realistic about their shortcomings.

I did, a lot of mine was from the bible to tell the truth, but that wasn't so cool at school when I started.
My mom used to read me this book with the stories a lot at night before bed :) good stories.

I don't think so, in today's world.

To many people have their face pointing to the ground, while they type some insignificant data, to someone else.

People on the streets, don't see each other any more.

I say hello to people texting on their device, none really stop to say hello.

Even the weather chit chat in elevators or other small spaces, has gone.

People to busy texting, and waiting for a reply.

Very few phone conversations on cell phones, mostly texting, so I have heard.
I don't concern myself, with other peoples thoughts. They can think what they want, and grind it around in their head. I always get a good nights rest. They however, are exhausted, thinking about me. My trade mark,

I rather call than text, whats the point of texting anyhow unless they are sleeping, or something like that.

I think he always was a pretty good person, at least towards the kids.
I remember several times him helping with dying kids in their wishes years ago.

I’ve heard of other actors who are the opposite in real life of what they tend to pretend to be in the roles they play.

I can understand some actors getting tired of the attention, but they should still be good with the kids.
Personally I wouldn't bother an actor if I saw them out, but some people make asses of themselves making the actor agitated.
Still they should try to be professional.

Heros and role models for kids today???? First and foremost, you as a parent need to be your child's role model. That involves teaching them right from wrong, giving them strong life skills and a moral compass. These lessons are delivered with love and respect.

Those parents that abdicate their responsibilities in this, open the door for the state to take over their role. Then you get drag queens, useless, vapid, celebutard pansies, trans freaks, and a variety of leftist numbskulls filling the void.

I'm not a parent, but always try to be a role model around kids, it's really hard with so many stupid people around though.
My hardest thing is when in the car, I so want to curse out loud, and my anger shows real bad.
I think mostly I'm a good roll model, I have tried to be a father to all the kids in my life.
Most of them are older now, but they still call me, and appreciate my opinion on things, share their issues also.

Most important to a kid, your time, same with the older people in your life.

TikTok seems to be killing kids these days.

There are these challenges that are potentially very lethal.

The younger generation claims to be smarter and more tech savvy than the old generation...
But murderers and other criminals didnt use to film themselves committing these crimes and then openly admitting their guilt while thinking that social media is some kind of a private space.

Facebook, and others like that also, and it's one of the first places the police look anymore.
