I saw it on the news last week, it was about 10 feet long caught in the Mississippi I believe .
Poor old gator it's a shame really killing something old as that one likely is.

I agree, if they need some meat for the barbecue then go to the supermarket for @#$% sakes. Did they really need to kill this monster ? What an ignorant hillbillie. That gator is almost a monument to nature

I can see culling a few if over populated, but the big ones need to be left along.
It's like the big catfish people catch, they are not good for eating so let them be, catch it take a pic, and let it go. .

I know Dian Fossie suggested that years ago with the gorillas, and Elephants have been know to have done that for Decades.
I would bet their is many more that do that, Whales, Dolphins, maybe even insects like ants.
I think we fool ourselves thinking we are so special over other animals.
Maybe that's the special part, our arrogance.

This is wierd, lizards with green blood.You can see as red blood makes the inside of animals mouths reddish this green blood makes the inside of this lizards mouth blueish

I saw a documentary on those, they will attack humans, and eat animals such as dogs, and cats.
It's like a super frog with teeth with a lizard body.

Elephants are known to be very smart. If they could speak then would we give them human rights ?

The more we interact with some animals the more they learn to understand, I think more than Elephants can do that.
Pigs, Dogs, Dolphins all have that trait, and I'm sure more do.
