is called an Azimuthal Equidistant or A.E. map. it is widely agreed to be the most accurate flat earth map.... how accurate is it? well.... in a time BEFORE NASA came along.... here are the decided logos of some very respected organizations....

the north pole is the center of the flat earth model and the south pole surrounds us.... the sun and moon circle us but never reach the dead center nor outer edges....

it doesn't 'rise or set' at all.... it moves in a circular pattern out of our field of view.... thats why it gets smaller as it 'goes down'....
