Did they measure you for the size? I heard some of the torch runners complaining that their outfits were too big for them.
Anyway take a bunch of photos of yourself in it for a keepsake. Your probably smart trying to sell it right now,as I am sure you will get a good price for it. In a few years you will see tons of them in the thrift store.LOL

Did you have fun working the olympics?
Were you volunteering or did they pay you?
I heard from one lady I work with that lives up in squamish that she volunteered, and then they could not get enough volunteers so they started paying people. so you had some people doing the same job for free as people beside them were doing but getting paid!

I got paid. I was directing cars and checking permits. All the cars going into the venue needed to have a pass on the windshield and cars parking at BC Place, GM Place, Cosco etc all needed the right pass. So that's what I was doing. People often thanked us for volunteering even though we got paid. I like taking credit like that. No offense to NSgirl's boss thread.

My first overnight shift was my last shift. That was on Saturday evening/Sunday morning. Slept in a coworker's car all night. There was nothing to do cause so less cars were going into BC Place/GM Place at night. There were 2 securities at the gate so we were safe sleeping with the doors unlocked. We were having beer too. It was my shift, who cares. The supervisor was like friend. He just slept with us in the car.

We went for dinner at 3am at Denny's. So many gay people in downtown at night. So many ladies wearing short skirts too. My supervisor was a perv.

Hard to believe that the uniform sale was a tenth of a century ago.

nothing major. some folks got richer. the rest of us got the olympic oval and skytrain through richmond, olympic village in vancouver, city landmarks and infrastructure like that. all in all, it was worth it imho.

In 2011 there was a hockey riot. 2010 I don't remember if there was a disturbance.

that's what I was thinking of. Sorry to impugn the Van Olympics by roping them into the same corral as those yahoos. :(
