I wonder what the consensus would be, to eliminate calling another poster out in the topic title, for a purpose other than drawing their attention to something of interest to them.

Or...to put it bluntly...for the sole purpose of stirring them up.

What about a debate challenge like:

(Thread Title) Me vs ______: Debate Invitation on Socialized Medicine (/Thread Title)?

Is that permitted?

Well....the other isn't not permitted. It was just a thought, in the interest of curbing personal battles, which at that moment were getting out of hand.

I think both concepts exclude other posters, which is counter-productive on a forum, which is supposed to encourage open discussion and/or open debate.

My period is late ________ , :D

So is my response. You know me; any opportunity for a joke and I'm in like corduroy in 1978.

I think a new question topic would be a food idea... or rather a good idea. (I've had too much caffieme).

If we promise to not post anything vile, can we have another image thread?

How do I find a past neutral thread to change so I can make a new neutral thread and stay within the 1 neutral thread at a time rule, please?

I’ll take this as an ex-admin and I trust that the current admin will correct me if I am wrong. You can have as many image threads as you want. I am confused that you would think that there is a limit on image threads, so I wonder if you meant subforums? And if you meant subforums, as long as you wouldn’t mind modding one or you know someone else would, you can absolutely have another image only subforum.

Btw, Just replace dinky’s nick name with yours and anyone can find their own neutrals by using the link above.

I’ve only ever made one neutral topic, this one.

You kind of had to be there, Yorkie.

Updating the forum in the next 5-10 minutes. We shouldn't be offline less than a minute.

Quick reply/quote should be fixed now. Let me now if you still have issues.

The latest update has made the forum unusable for me.

The fancy, new doo-dads take up a full third of my tablet screen. I can no longer read posts more than three lines at a time.

Oh well.

I am so sorry to hear that. Please post a screenshot so that I know what has changed. On my phone and the computer, the board looks the same, the only difference is the new quick reply/quote.

It works but its not like it was before-- now if I click the ( " ) button rather than creating a new window with the quote in it, it puts the quote in the quick reply box. I liked the old way, but I can work with this too, not a big deal for me.

I'm not trying to complain BTW, I'm just letting you know what's happening.

EDIT now sometimes it does it the old way, and sometimes it does it the new way.

The subforums aren't working for quotes, but the main forum is fine.

In the subforums, I pushed quote and then it asks me to select the parts I want to quote.

Thanks for that! I’ll make sure subs work the same way as the main.

Tyrone was the discrepancy you noticed also sub vs. Main forum?

Quick reply/quote should be working now in all subs as well as the main forum.

If the feature is not working consistently across the forum try to delete cache and try again.

I think we should try a new style for the forum. Let me know what you think.

Board Preferences: ucp.php?i=379
My board style: Flat Style

You can also see it if you logout.
