Latest acquisition is a pair of William Painter sunnies (Hughes Model)

they allow you to "spin" the wheel for a discount and the goods are delivered by their eagle, Sebastian. A bit fey, but why so serious?

the frame is comfortable and stunning...(aircraft titanium) in matte black, lenses are polarized and quite effective. I've worn them both for driving and out on the water and am chuffed. I ended up paying $150 US which bothered me a bit, but to know them is to love them, and I feel I got decent value. Now the trick will be not to lose them or sit on them

Do you require prescription lenses?

No, I need reading specs for prolonged desk work, but my vision is good at distance. I'm still an effective shot (skeet/trap/rifle) and have no difficulty driving/ reading signage, etc. My basic problem is that somehow my arms shrunk in the night and now are simply not long enough to hold newspapers or books properly.

They’re nice looking glasses. My sun glasses need to be prescription, and it bumps up the price. Losing them is always a bummer.

I seldom lose things, but breakage can be a problem. We'll see. It goes against my parsimonious nature to be careless with an item as expensive as these sunglasses. Only time will tell. :D
Living where you do and enjoying the outdoor lifestyle, I imagine that owning a pair of good sunglasses is part of the surfing way of life. I occasionally work for the US Coast Guard, and almost all of those guys and grrrrls are heavily invested. I've been a fan of RayBan aviators worn by the older folk there while the younguns sport Maui Jims. I like the Painters better.
