Don’t talk to me about ovens...

I bought the best industrial version on the market which money can buy, yet it still can’t handle a few dozen dead Jews.

Maybe you should crawl inside and have a look. Perhaps you'll spot the problem.

that grime is probably caused by airflow.

I didn’t notice. I have a gas oven now, also nothing.

Im pretty basic, I dont care about appliances and gadgets, but that's just me. I get more excited over knives and a cutting board. I ordered a breaking bad cutting board for myself last xmas.

I was just curious if anyone else had this problem....because when I had a regular oven, I never did.

The self-clean function is 3 HOURS at 500 degrees...so it's pretty much a big energy sucker...BUT...I find it has to be cleaned at LEAST 3 times as much as a regular oven.
I asked my friend if she had this problem, and she said she never has.....then we both came to the conclusion, that she cooks about one a week or week and a half...at most. So her experience doesn't count. :D

So....now I have two appliances that I would never get again.

I hear ya. I do all my large oven baking in deep dishes to prevent splatter and avoid ever having to clean, be it self or otherwise:(

I'm 100% certain....that the resulting mess is not from spill-over or splatter. That's what's confusing.

I cleaned the oven last week...baked something that didn't splatter, or spill....and in one day, the oven looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month. =( And the shape of the grime doesn't look like a spill or splatter.

I think soon nailed it with the 'airflow' issue. I had never considered that before.

So...convection oven....OUT
Stainless appliances....OUT
Front-load washing machines....OUT....the biggest OUT of all. :(

Yeah, airflow is probably the cause. Meem, why not a front loader? I find them far superior. Could it be the brand?

Convection by design moves much air around .. causing it to pick up fats and juices .. Moving air cooks faster

You prolly have a regular over setting that will make it function as a regular oven (simple bake, broil etc)

To climb inside the oven??? This might happen (Irina can translate dialogue, but it is obvious):

Maybe the brand....dunno. It does a semi-okay job wetting the clothes....but it doesn't WASH them. I think pounding them with rocks on the rivers' edge would do a superiour job. :(

Yup . Convection method was widely touted when it came out ... then the downsides started to show

I also found that it dried the food also .. .which makes sense when one thinks of how it operates

Adjusting cook time and temp with a convection is a nuisance too.
