It’s mostly raining in these parts. The snow is being washed away and, slowly but surely, the days are getting longer. Only two more short months and ppl will be gardening again!

It's still light out at 5 o'clock. It didn't even seem to happen gradually....it just happened. =))

It’s a cute little cottage with ocean view. I just don’t know enough about the area to know whether Nanoose bay has some polluting industry nearby or weather issues.

If somebody had the time to just update the kitchen, finish the basement, change the patio railing to glass and stage this little place, it would be selling in 900’s. Much like this little gem in the same neighbourhood - same street same view.

Is that current ?
$395,000 ?????

It's adorable ! Good bones...easy update.

Sadly....too far south.

There's something wrong with that price. I know the area well...and you can't get a shed there for $395.

You act as if you know me? Thrills me that you’re so envious. No hanging cheese on my bum. You’d know that if you really knew me. Can I make guess about yours?

We are getting more snow as we speak. I love it....but I'm sure it's going to bring on the 3rd delivery cancelation of my dishwasher. :D
We went from last Wednesday....to Friday....to Sunday. Me thinks it's not going to happen. =))))

Not a speck here. In fact, rain washed off most of it, it’s all a muddy mush now.

:D

That place has serious potential. 1800 sq feets....of ocean view.
Pan Abodes are sturdy homes.

I originally thought it was in Nanoose....but it is in Lantzville. Cute tiny town 5 minutes north of Nanaimo. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it didn't mean a 3 and a half hour commute for hub each day. =)))))

No privacy. Some people are into that. I am not. I Will never buy a place again that isn't fenced off or doesn't have nice plants to completely block off the neighbors. The place is over 40 years old and there are so few plants. Putting up a fence after 43 years or so of being so open, even if you are the new owner, would create animosity with the neighbors.

On the flip side that place is a blank canvas as far as landscaping and gardening goes. I wouldn't buy it for myself but what I could do to that yard for little investment would transform it. The current owners obviously want to spend as little time doing yardwork as possible.

You could keep popping of stinkers to keep the neighbours at bay

Yup....that's the only drawback for me. I DO like a private setting. Home privacy means everything to me....which is the ONLY reason I picked this place. (my mistake =( ) BUT...in order to keep neighbours at bay....you need a larger piece of property....and that's what I'm trying to get away from. Wouldn't be my first choice...but sometimes change is necessary.

I might even get over being anti-social. :D
