Honorable in name only, I believe. So far, I don't see Chinese doing what EU powers did for a few centuries wherever they could sail. I am well aware that whatever Chinese are doing is not out of altruism, so far, at least in Africa Chinese investors are more welcomed than old EU colonists or new EU/USA investors backed (or preceded) by US blunt force
