Support China!

Unread post by evs »

Recognize three different kinds (racist, xenophobic and state-socialism-phobic) of attempts to trash China. And don’t fall for them. Each country should be free to choose how they organize their govt. It’s not like western capitalism is without problems.

Covid-19 is no more Chinese fault than trump’s or anyone else’s. It’s like blaming earthquake on a nation.

Support those innocent Uighurs.
And I'll put the blame squarely where I see it.

It originated in China. The wet markets were supposed to be closed but people that are supposed to police that didn't due to corruption. The situation in Wuhan could have been prevented from going out of control... they stepped in too late. It is mostly China's government's fault.

Some things, like corruption, are so unpreventable that we have no choice but to develop immunity to them or diseases that come out of them as a result.

The reports coming out of China about their treatment of the Hui are horrific!
So now we are supporting concentration camps and torture with brain-washing--of innocent people!
What next?
Well, I wonder what she would say if that was happening to Christians!
I'll support my own bad ideology rather than the allegedly 'good' ideology of China.
Thanks anyway.

I know exactly what I am going to do, what I am doing now, and what I have been doing; and I advise all of us to do exactly this:
Get a copy of the best translation of the Qur'an in a language of your choosing: your choice.
Go into the most private, safe and secluded room in your house. Lock the door and shut out all distractions of any sort whatsoever.
Forget everything else whatsoever. Forget CC's ramblings and my own as well. Forget politics. Forget the Mosques. Forget Iran, Saudi Arabia, Al Qaeda, and ISIS.
Start reading. Read it like the holy text which it is--not like pulp fiction.
Hear the words of the Supreme Being speaking directly to you. You don't even have to be a Muslim. The Book is a message for the entire human race, Muslim and non-Muslim alike.
Just yourself, the Book, and the Supreme Creator.
That will save you. Ignore it at your peril.
Alternatively, don't do it. No one can, or wants to take away your free will.

Then you are mis-reading it.
That's not the message I get; nor what gets through to 2 billion of us.
The evidence is there in every Muslim community. They are very good people. Islam made them that way.

Pakistan women's march organisers call for inquiry into rally attack
Issued on: 10/03/2020 - 13:24
Modified: 10/03/2020 - 13:22

Islamabad (AFP)

The organisers of a women's march in Pakistan called Tuesday for an independent investigation into a "coordinated attack" on their rally over the weekend.

Days of mounting tensions boiled over on Sunday when a group of Islamist counter-protesters in the capital hurled stones, bricks and sticks at a march marking International Women’s Day.

"It was a coordinated attack from the patriarchal and right-wing forces on the women’s movement," said Ismat Shahjahan, one of the organisers of the event.

"We demand an independent judicial inquiry," she added.

The capital’s police registered a case against 35 people late Sunday, including organisers of the anti-feminist Islamist rally for "provoking the religious sentiments" of their followers against the Women's Day marchers.

The march's organisers, however, have argued that police downplayed the severity of the attack and should have issued more serious charges against suspected assailants.

The incident follows last year's second annual "Aurat (Women's) march", which sparked a backlash against participants -- including rape and death threats.

In the days leading up to this year’s Islamabad rally at least two petitions were filed to the country’s higher courts asking for authorities to ban marches across the country, while Islamist political parties vowed to stop the demonstrations.

In a society where women have been shot, stabbed, stoned, set alight and strangled for damaging a family's "honour", marchers have been accused of promoting Western, liberal values and disrespecting religious and cultural sensitivities.

Frankly for a very few examples of many

I found kill or make submit all non believers is very difficult to misinterpret

I found females are 1/2 the value of males and must be subservient to males is also very difficult to misinterpret

I found " a woman needs 4 male witnesses  to claim rape" very difficult to misinterpret

In the overall I found it had very few redeeming examples or qualities

I told people to shut off all the noise! Just shut it out! It's bull.
Seems nobody listened.
People are seriously missing the point here. They go off on a tangent, a totally irrelevant 'red herring'.
I am trying to draw your attention to something far more important.
But they would rather ramble on; and, in addition, listen to other peoples' useless ramblings.
Well, what can you do?
Not much.

I speak for myself not Oscar and I say a resounding yes, leave them alone.

The politics of interference and manipulation of ppl’s good intentions into brainless activism to justify actual atrocities like using guns or political pressure against sovereign countries with real reason behind it being establishment of new markets and/or puppet governments is just downright perverse.

Those corrupt imbeciles in Chinese wet markets had no clue of the dangers they were exposing the world and themselves to. Their ignorance is their best defence just like those slaughtering gorillas didn’t know they would get HIV, or those feeding chicken byproduct to cows that they will cause massive, worldwide cull of livestock and human deaths.

And if you are proposing to punish people who caused this grave tragedy and who likely lost their own lives due to their ignorance, you are proposing to stop the wind - which is both useless and impossible.
