Shocking. :(
What makes this drug something people want to keep trying though...after all the coverage of how deadly it can be.

Somebody said the craving is akin to wanting the comfort of chicken soup. But who’s to say how what where. People know and yet they still do it. Like lemmings.

I like chicken soup a lot. But I think if I knew that potentially every 3rd bowl might kill me....I don't think I eat chicken soup again. :(

Ditto. I guess it’s more complicated than that:(

The opposite of addiction is connection. *sigh*

Ya...that's the beast of addiction. It overrides our good sense...or any sense, really. :(

I'm always moved by Dr, Henry's genuine heart-felt address of these statistics.

Sometimes, if I have a glass of wine late, it will wake me up like this for no reason in the middle of the night. Sucks.

Addiction. It will only get worse.

I don't believe fentanyl is a drug bought by itself, I believe its laced into other drugs like, cocaine, meth, whatever the heck they are using today. Add too much and it can kill you.

I don't like drugs and want nothing to do with any of it.

I understand addiction....so..I guess what I'm puzzled about, is how anyone is willing to take the chance the FIRST time.

But the other drugs laced with it, presents a whole different form of Russian Roulette. :(

Lou Reed knew why, he wrote a song about it.

The opposite of addiction is fasting; and prayer, and discipline. And learning to do without. And teaching your body to restrain itself.
It means retreating into yourself so that you reduce your own needs to nothing.
Too bad people don't know that; but anyways, they would never have the discipline to follow through on it.
Try fasting during Ramadan and denying yourself even a sip of water.
Try getting up before dawn every day to read your prayers.
Control your intake of food, water and sleep.
Easier to say than to do.

Oh gawd. :( That's so insanely sad.

I just want to clarify that, when I question why people do it....I pass no judgement. People in crazy spaces do crazy things. :(

No, addicts are you are me, your brothers and sisters and mothers. To just kiss addiction off as too ugly to confront is you weaseling out on life. Addicts are among you every day. Berry Sweet can go fuck a rock she might even get off. I've had enough of her opinion on pretty much everything, fucking hard core urbanite bitch that knows nothing but what flows in front of her apartment.

Who's kissing off addiction, Oscar? I think everyone so far has expressed nothing but empathy.

Sure, addicts are us, but also - not us. Who reaches for a hard drug and why? Not me. You tell me osky, who and why?

No judgement btw, I’m just trying to understand. Why not go for something that kills you slowly! Like cigarets or alcohol?

Most addicts are a thousand miles from your understanding. Why I played it.
