Sometimes, if I have a glass of wine late, it will wake me up like this for no reason in the middle of the night. Sucks.

Addiction. It will only get worse.

I don't believe fentanyl is a drug bought by itself, I believe its laced into other drugs like, cocaine, meth, whatever the heck they are using today. Add too much and it can kill you.

I don't like drugs and want nothing to do with any of it.

I understand addiction....so..I guess what I'm puzzled about, is how anyone is willing to take the chance the FIRST time.

But the other drugs laced with it, presents a whole different form of Russian Roulette.

The opposite of addiction is fasting; and prayer, and discipline. And learning to do without. And teaching your body to restrain itself.
It means retreating into yourself so that you reduce your own needs to nothing.
Too bad people don't know that; but anyways, they would never have the discipline to follow through on it.
Try fasting during Ramadan and denying yourself even a sip of water.
Try getting up before dawn every day to read your prayers.
Control your intake of food, water and sleep.
Easier to say than to do.

No, addicts are you are me, your brothers and sisters and mothers. To just kiss addiction off as too ugly to confront is you weaseling out on life. Addicts are among you every day.
