Funny that the black owned business were looted, and burned. The owners were hung or chased out of town, in the early 20s. To me Juneteenth a some meaning.
Again....it's not a comment on what it stands for...it's a comment on stupid made up words.
...and this coming from someone who is notorious for making up my own words. :D

This "woke" thing is going too far. I hear teens talking about who is more 'woke' than the other...I think to myself, you're all morons...

What about nouning verbs?

I've been seeing and hearing this for a couple or so years, now: MY ASK. Corporate-speech babytalk is what it sounds like to me. 'My ASK is that you follow through with the sales plan and communicate with the other departments involved to make this promotion a success.' WTF. Who taught you or influenced you to speak like that?

I love that phrase. Coincidently it’s the only way to describe Justin Trudeau‘s public mannerisms.

It may describe AN act...but I've seen too many times, people using it to insult someone, when it doesn't apply at all.
It's rendered the meaning right out of it.

In SF? I never knew one existed. Must have been in Golden Gate park? Yeah it’s stupid.

It is only a term of insult to be deemed a virtue signaler...

I like the phrase "virtue signaler". It perfectly describes the attempt by (lame) liberal folk who are attempting to clamber onto the WOKE bandwagon and be accepted by leftist individuals or groups that they admire.

When someone is angry or simply fucked up, they are frequently described as having "issues".

Justin Trudeau? Why limit yourself to Trudeau? While I don't especially like the expression "virtue signalling," it does describe how most politicians operate--regardless of where they stand (or fall) on the political spectrum.

Trump is just as much of a virtue signaller as Justin Trudeau. The only problem is he adheres to the wrong virtues.
