MMB Photo Exhibit -- Free Admittance!

Unread post by Blurt »

This morning Teenie Weenie posted a great pic of a trio of dogs (Teenie's included). As I mentioned in that thread, I find it too bad there aren't any photo albums attached to the forum. Gambino suggested that maybe I just ought to post some of my photos in a separate thread. I figured we could start a "Photo Exhibit" thread where people could post their work. So, feel free to add your own stuff to the thread (but, please, YOUR stuff, not Google's). A suggestion: don't use the "Quote" button to post replies or add posts, otherwise the thread will become unmanageably long.

The following are pix I took over the past few years. You'll notice that I like to "work" with photos; to me, what was actually shot is only raw material and the real work happens on the computer. I don't fabricate photos (as in, Photoshopping someone's head onto someone else's body) but I do enjoy using filters and special effects.

Again, here are a few pix, with a brief description underneath each one. (You might notice I have a fetish for clouds.)

omg....so many artistically beautiful shots Blurt !

I particularly love this one. I would love to have it on a piece of smokey coral silk.

Thanks, Me.

That shot is pretty much "as is." The brownish, smoky colour comes from the smog and pollution levels in New Delhi. Sunsets over the city look pretty much the same (except maybe a little more on the warmer side of the spectrum).

Oscar,

I'm down to my bra and panties. Can't go further.
Just kidding, just kidding.

I'll be posting more pix when I get a chance.

I've shown so many pictures of what I think, I take them daily. I've shown so much of me here.
If you show me pictures of what your eyes see I'd like that very much.

Nice work, blurt. My fave is the Cuban dawn. Are you an early riser, or were you heading home to bed?

Teenie,

I love that pic of the raccoon. Is he grinning? or growling? Hard to say.

More, please.

Thanks, Lochdubh! :eyebrow:

When I'm on vacation, I'm an early riser; I love to see the sun rise, especially over beaches or cities. Now, dragging my SO with me on these sunup treks is another matter! At all other times, I remain a fairly early riser (around 7:00 or 7:30 or so) but I always go to bed late. As Nobo would say, "I do my best work" in the wee hours. I write a lot, and I'm definitely a night writer.

I think actually you might not be an early riser, but that's still okay, as it might still be good for you, anyway.

I wish I had beautiful pics like you guys...all I seem to take are crappy pictures with my daughter's little digital camera... I had my eye on a really nice (forgot what it was and too lazy to look it up) but hunny's computer went toast and I bought him a new one, then the vacuum went and I had to replace that too, and then I wanted my own carpet shampooer and then I bought myself a new computer...the credit card is up to too much and I won't load it up more till I pay it down a lot more. Hubby best be getting me that camera for Christmas! :D
