Well, I may as well put this out there... our dad died from COVID-19 almost three weeks ago. His death, at the time he died, was avoidable. Had precautions been taken, he would still be alive today.

When people ignore or forego the advice of public health authorities for strictly political--or worse, religious--reasons, people die. It's just the way it is in pandemic times.

Mind you, Skinz, I don't blame your callous insensitivity on Jesus or the Illuminati. As you yourself endlessly aver, you are responsible for your own behaviour. And I agree that this is as should be.

Anyway, maybe you can say a prayer for my father? I just don't have it in me.

Combine that with serious social unrest: the worst case of it in the nation's entire history.
What we are witnessing now is "Downfall". The country is disintegrating.

well.... that would be mainly just governments, military and murderers.... i'm equally outraged over ppl who deem ppls jobs as essential or not.... ppl don't work a job for recreational purposes.... its to keep themselves alive and comfortable.... how you gonna decide a church is non-essential or a major surgery is non-essential.... and turn around and say 'abortion clinics, liquor stores and drug dealers are essential'.... total nonsense....

just ppl.... awful fuckin ppl.... and let me clarify something.... i don't pray for myself.... or not for comfort anyway.... i pray for patience and understanding but otherwise i remain stoic.... when i bring someone up to God, its because i care for them far above the normal range.... i don't expect appreciation.... but i don't expect added grievance either.... its not an empty gesture....

While I AM someone who does feel somewhat indignant... ...or something of the sort...I'd never ever give someone grief for praying for me.

Well...the lady that approaches me to tell me this, is barely an acquaintance. She'll take my hands and sandwich them between hers and tells me she prays for me every time she passes my house. My gut response is always..."why"...am I in trouble ?

oh yeah.... i'd forgotten about that lady.... thats why i was curious why you ask me who i 'was referring to'.... i dunno what emotion that lady was trying to express.... but its far better to not announce it regardless.... when i pray for ppl without any extra reason (lost job, death in family, hard times), i usually just pray that they wake the hell up.... and its fear more than pity.... i remember being exactly where they are.... and seeing things like they see em.... and it bothers me....
