The Most Beautiful Women in the History of Art & Photography

Unread post by J0E »

Whether represented either in visual art or in the Modern photographic age.

Of course, excluding those who relied upon an excessive use of enhancements - plastic surgery, etc - but possessed physical beauty wholly natural.

Many of the Great Masters hired or relied upon models or women they knew and even had intimate relations with.

Most are unknown today, just anonymous faces whose true names have never been uncovered.

Here's one for starters - Nefertiti (ca. 1370 BC – ca. 1330 BC), Queen of Ancient Egypt - who may have been the world's first fashion model:

She may have been one of the Most Beautiful Actresses ever to grace the Screen....

But perhaps on the Inside, maybe not so pretty.

At least Woody found out, devoured and reduced to a shell of man what he once was:

Beauty fades. Outwardly, I was more beautiful than I am today but some might think I just got more beautiful. I personally feel more beautiful today because I feel more comfortable in my skin than ever and more sure.

Sometimes, my comments have a touch of humor, often tongue-in-cheek, so don't take it so seriously.

really? That must be a case of reverse aging. ;)

And yes, after our brief encounters together, I'd have to say you are still very beautiful, Asia.

problems is that joe equates beauty with youth and ugliness with old age, aa.. what can do, some beauty is skin deep and some people's minds are that too.

But dd/bleu, this thread was supposed to be about beautiful women portrayed in art, as opposed to an exercise in feminism.

That's why I've tried to make reference to them in painting by the Great Masters, eh?

Here's one by Boticelli ta git us back onto the topic:

Image

Now say what you about that masterpiece, dd?

and don't go onto this long discourse about the exploitation of the masses by a wealthy elite & the implications of dialectical materialism, 'kay? ;)

no worries, i won't but i'll suggest you make it clear in the title what your thread is about - the most beautiful women portrayed in art not The Most Beautiful Women in History.
