Also, my recent issue that I posted kept happening. Click on a thread and it would redirect to that site. I realize ads are generated based on my location and Google searches but that's not something I would be interested in or shopping for. I thought there might be a monkey in MY wrench. It even showed up on Facebook and I clicked 'Hide Post.'

Anyway, I haven't done anything on my end of things but it doesn't happen anymore and I'm pretty sure I don't see their ads on here, either. Thanks, back.

edit: LOL, and there's an ad of theirs at the bottom of the page. Fuckers.

Meem, thanks for asking!

The YouTube URL is always a pattern that goes something like this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
And then a unique identifier, a string of letters like this
oWr0qkkQicM
And then sometimes nothing and sometimes an added string of words like
&feature=youtu.be

To embed YouTube from now on we’ll have to delete any text coming after the unique identifier.

It's the same ad I mentioned. It was in the ad-bar (or whatever it's called) that showed up on the bottom of my post. I should probably have some kind of 'blocker' initiated (and I do, sort of) but I've never looked into it because the ads don't bother me.

That ad is blocked so I’m puzzled that it still pops up on your screen. What happens on other devices and other browsers you use.

Me neither, but my setting is very conservative - I get a notification only if the house is burning. Or worse.

I am pretty sure that number will continue to grow in the next 2 or 3 hours. Just mark all read after the process is done (unless you wish to alter your notification settings). You are probably getting notified when somebody quotes your post, and as all BBCodes are being refreshed, "Quote" BBCode is being refreshed too.

In case this is easier, you have an option of using youtube BBCode to embed youtube videos. To embed you only need the unique identifier btwn the youtube tags.

I have Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, so that's what I use. I have a iPhone 7 and the ad does not show up on there. The ad STILL shows up but it's not intrusive.
